Hello All,

I'm brand new to the world of American Muscle and am extremely excited for the delivery of my Shadow Black 2019 GT Premium with PP1, MR and the Exhaust system. Been spending endless hours googling tips tricks and mods that I intend on putting into the car starting December 31 (delivery day).

Searched thoroughly via google and the forums here but I'm not sure whether it is possible to completely remove the pony from the front grill. I've seen many videos on how to remove the badge, but there is a black pony shaped piece behind the badge.

Have any of your removed that? And do you have a link to a video/website that has instructions on how to do so? Any guidance would be much appreciate.

List of action items:
Black out 5.0 badges
Black out GT badge
Remove front pony
Tint tail lights
Figure out what kind of stripe I want
Install side scoops

Cheers,

RR

AFAIK, there is no way to remove the pony emblem holder from the front grill, without replacing the entire grill. There are many options to replace the entire grill. The cheapest of those options I've seen is those offered by customcargrills.com but be prepared to do some cut/glue work.

Many buy an OEM black out pony...like I just did. Paid $41 shipped for the OEM Black Emblem by stacking discounts.

Thanks for your response, thats what I figured.

I don’t want a pony on the front - want to have a clean grill with a GT350 style coyote badge.

Looks like a new grill is in my future!

same here, it's annoying not to be able to debadge it without leaving the silhouette behind

The only two ways to get rid of the pony and still look factory is to either buy a Bullitt grille or make your own pony-less grille. See the How To thread in the DIY section. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/diy-pony-less-grille.19241/

No matter which way you go, make sure you put the badge on the driver's side of the grille where it belongs.

Buy a can of black plastidip and spray your emblem. The matte finish actually matches the plastic grill perfectly. $13 and 4-6 coats later you are done.

Thank you for the link.

Help me understand why the badge should be on the driver’s side - I’ve look at hundred of pictures and it appears that the Shelby badges are always on the passenger side.

Am I missing something?

If you go on the Cervini website, they now make a lower grille that is compatible with the safe and smart package
Wow, I was beginning to think there would never be any options for 2018+ cars. Now I have to check if anyone is making a good 2018+ steering wheel upgrade.

CJ Pony parts has a 350 style steering wheel for the 2018 now. Pricey.

This is the grill I put together to maintain the ORM look. The custom car grills is a mesh.

Search OEM style honeycomb grill on eBay.
