Practicality isn't a primary concern, but it's a concern...I like to have the family in the car every now and then. And the 3 cars...ZL1, GT350 and hellcat challenger are the only ones. Now the new caddy blackhawk will have one, but it will be over 100k.
My suggestion is to tryout the Hellcat Challenger and see how you guys fit in there. The ZL1 is a nogo.

Btw the big V8 Blackhawk is rated at ~88 MSRP I think, but yeah, real price is over 100k easy.

I'm sorry, but what is wrong with all of us? Joe came onto this forum looking for input on an amazing Mustang and all we keep doing is recommending other Dodge's.

He has a Dodge, doesn't want another. Wants to try something new. Loves the GT350 based on a movie. Only has a 7 year old who will easily fit in the back seat. He is already said that practicality is not a "major" concern. Read the many threads on here from owners who DD their cars and use the back seats for their kids.

So let's get off this Dodge kick. If Joe wanted another one of those he wouldn't be here. Let's talk up the GT350, or the Mach1 or even a regular GT. Damn it man, this is a MUSTANG forum!!!

I feel so much better now. :cwl::crackup::like::clap:

Hey guys, completely new Ford guy here...looking for some info on the 350GT. I was ready to get the ZL1, but a test drive with my family made that car impossible. My 7yo girl couldn't even put her feet down behind me. I currently have a '16 SCAT pack Charger, but looking for something sporty with more power and a 6MT.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello!
dont get an R. the back seats are really hard and have no seat belts!

on a serious note, you'll love the GT350. if you want a smile plastered to your face, get one now.

I've had my younger brother and friend sitting in front of each other, and they're not small guys at 5'11" and 6'4". Leg room isn't so much of an issue, but rather the head room in the back seat (according to my 6'4" brother). I have had people in the back seat many times, if you have willing passengers it works in a pinch. When I've had kids in the back there's no issue.

I have the comfort seats, NOT the recaros. I don't know if that makes a difference for room.

I don't get it either. The guy obviously wants out of what he currently has but some people in here are recommending something similar from the same brand.

OP, you just need to go test drive one if you can. This is a GT350 forum however, and you're going to have bias opinions. With that being said, it's GT350 all day every day over the cars mentioned in here.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Hey, As I said I support the back seat passenger load and use it all the time. More than 2 hours and it may be painful, but never had a problem. oh well. Works for me.

THAT shelby gt350..yes.

the new ones, not impressed. maybe OP will be.
but it still doesnt make it practical for a family, hence the recommendations from myself and others for something more roomy. the 7 year old daughter will only get taller.
I am curious, your profile says you drive a 2018 GT, but you are not impressed by the new GT350?

To the OP, as many others have stated, take a test drive, you will never read anything that can fully describe what it is like to be behind the wheel of that sweet Voodoo.

I agree. At 6'-3" my seat is not all the way back. There is a ton of leg room in this car with the Recaro seats. Also, no issue with helmet clearance either for tall guys.
Wait...you get more room with the Recaro seats? We test "fit" in a standard 21 GT.

yes, i recently sold my supercharged 2018 mustang gt. Im not impressed by the new gt350 for the price after driving a few, which is why i laugh at the "you just gotta drive it and the choice will be made" because i just dont get it. Its not worth the premium in my opinion over a regular GT/pp1. However, i would absolutely LOVE to have a shelby gt350 like the picture earlier in this post.

I ended up going with a camaro 2ss 1le for about 15k cheaper. I only really sold the mustang because a) it wasnt a manual and i wanted manual again, and b) i got offered more for it than i put into it.

that said, i do hope OP loves the new gt350s as they are nice cars and an extra mustang member. I just recommended otherwise due to the family reasons and wouldnt really recommend any mustang or camaro if those things are an issue at all. if its a non issue like some seem to say...then im not sure why the zl1 was excluded for that reason but the gt350 isnt.

also to note, if the OP is looking for something that will FEEL more powerful than his scatpack, i dont think the gt350 on the street is going to do so given its rev happy nature. Thats why i also said him and his family really just need to drive one, in addition to everyone "fitting" lol
