Completely new to Ford

Hey guys, completely new Ford guy here...looking for some info on the 350GT. I was ready to get the ZL1, but a test drive with my family made that car impossible. My 7yo girl couldn't even put her feet down behind me. I currently have a '16 SCAT pack Charger, but looking for something sporty with more power and a 6MT.

How tall are you? I'm 5'8", and my 5'2" wife can sit behind me in the GT350 with no problem. (Which is not to say it isn't cozy back there... Your Charger is going to feel like a stretch limo by comparison.)

I am 6'7" and no one can sit behind me, but then again, I didnt buy a GT350 to haul my family around....lol.

I'm 6'0 and the wife is 5'4. We all sat in a 21 GT and it was much more room than the Camaro. Also, what is up the Camaro trunk?? Such bad design overall for usefulness. Definitely realize the Charger is larger, but we have an SUV for long trips.

Hello Joe and welcome to the forum. First things first. It's GT350.

As you are new to Ford you need some history.

A Shelby is not just a car, it's a world unto itself. Once your immersed in it, you may never come out. You really need to test drive one. Only then will you understand what I'm saying.

Unfortunately I am no longer physically able to drive a stick but if I could.............

If you need to transport anyone in the back, I would not recommend the GT350. It has no leg room for rear passengers. Maybe a 392 widebody with a manual trans or a hellcat.

why not a charger/challenger hellcat? has more room than the mustang or camaro for a family and more power than your scat.

I'm 6'-3" and have no issue with adult rear passengers in the GT350. I drive people all the time back there, mainly 2-1/2 hours to Road America one way and back. We'll stop and buy cheese on the way back to stretch the legs. LOL

yeah, I don't understand your post, you already have a sports car big enough for the entire family why get a smaller sports car? If you want a sports car to fit the entire family and your gear, get an Explorer st..

hellcats come with a 6mt and i believe an even better one than the gt350. (edit, yes..they come with a tremec 6060 vs the 3160)

but it sounds like you are trying to get away from dodge lol

I am not quite 6'3" and the GT350 is the first car that I don't have to put the seat all the way back to be comfortable. Kids would be just fine in the back seats.
