Adamone92, you are on a Ford forum, not a GM one. But remember your audience. I don't go on Chevy forums but don't really get why you are here anymore. Makes no sense except to try and justify convince folks about your Chevy. You made the decision, that's fine. But why come back here? The competition between these rivals is decades long. I don't get it.

BTW I'm guessing if Mustang lovers went on a camaro site the reaction would be similar.

You made your choice. Stick with it and sing the Camaro praises on their site.

Bye, bye

BTW as far as pricing, you get what you pay for. There is a reason the Camaro is cheaper. And, with their cheap wonderful, fantastic car, sales are dropping like a stone.

He did say it was his "opinion".... Thank GOD we don't all have the same opinion.

If we all had the same opinion, we would ALL be driving a Ford Performance Blue with White OTT stripes, and Recaro seats GT350. We sure would ALL look good.............................. in my opinion!

Well some better then others LMAO

To be fair from what I remember seeing, the ZL1 1LE had more sales than the GT350R. Which would make sense given the ridiculous mark ups. Different story though with total sales numbers

Again? Come on guys. Enough with the bickering. That not why Joe came onto this forum. He was looking for input on a Mustang. While a number of the posts have been on point others are just not helpful.

Everyone on here is entitled to his opinion. It’s neither right or wrong. We can disagree but how about doing it respectfully?

Of, this doesn’t pertain to Camaro owners whose opinions don’t count unless they “currently” own a Mustang!

:cwl:  :cwl:  Kidding Adam.

Let’s consider this. A ZL1 1LE is just a Camaro. It is the best Camaro, and an awesome performer but it’s just a version of the model. A GT350 is just a Mustang. It too is an awesome performer and a great car. But it is also a Shelby. It has provenance, a history. In that sense it is special. Something a Camaro or Challenger will never be.

Joe, that’s what you would be buying. Take in everything that’s being said but remember just how special a Shelby is.

Yeah that back seat is a no go on the maro. I bought my first ford after test driving several different versions from Ford and Chevy (shelby's, roush, maro's). If you're looking for a bargain go GT and build it into whatever you want. If you're looking for a something turnkey and want a track car go gt350. if you want some real turnkey horsepower go GT500 or Roush (can snag these up for cheap if you shop). But if you're looking for something with more room and power you're going to need to look at dodge. Yes Mustang is slightly more room but not that much. You're going from completely unusable in the maro to children can sit back there in whatever stang you get.

"Another version of the model" that is my biggest complaint and why I never gave it a chance. The alpha chassis is amazing I will give it that, but there is 0 emotion in that engine. The 6.2 is basically a decades old tech modified truck engine with an eaton supercharger. Now the 5.2 on the other hand we won't ever see it again. 1 model and 1 car only and everything is unique including the crazy cabin induction noise and exhaust.

ive said multiple times why i am here still. I learn a lot from this forum and this forum is better than the camaro forum, especially the layout and notifications. Im not trying to convince anyone about the camaro in this thread, i told OP to consider a manual hellcat, so your point makes no sense.

there are many mustang owners on the camaro forums, as there are non mustang or camaro owners on this forum. Get over it.

someone made a response to "why not a hellcat, or whatever else" with a picture of a classic shelby gt350, i agreed with the older gt350 and not the newer one, and then a lot of you got offended by it. Not my problem. Some people need to learn to accept others have a different opinion and dont care for the new gt350 as much as they do. Just like i couldnt care less if you like whatever car or bike i have. You dont make my payments, i dont make yours. Why not have a conversation instead of getting upset? If OP didn't mention the backseat legroom for his daughter that WILL get older and taller, then i would have agreed on the gt350 more. But im not going to try to convince myself or anyone else that the mustang or the camaro has a roomy backseat for a family. ESPECIALLY versus a challenger/charger

yep. IM the simple minded one. I like this forum more than the camaro forum and like most of the people on here.

food for thought. In my opinion, its simple minded to get upset about someone saying they arent impressed by a car, without even asking WHY they werent impressed with the car. thats pretty silly and simple minded to me. :like:

you pay around a 10k premium for a name (shelby) that originally tried to go to GM before ford. I love both cars, but we all make our own decisions what is worth it to us.

IMO the quality of my camaro versus my premium mustang arent really even close so far. Your opinion may differ, and that doesnt offend me. If someone elses opinion about a car offends you or anyone else, they should probably re-evaluate themselves.

things change. Im interested in the mach 1 at some point when prices are more concrete, they go down lower (new), or some used ones start popping up

at this current point in time the camaro made the most sense for me to spend my money on and i am more than happy with it. :like: We are all happy with our cars, that should be all that matters. Unless?

That's incorrect. Parts on the GT350 are different than that on GT, they're outperform GT parts. Not to mention engine. Maybe "Shelby" brand is a part of the price in GT350 and GT500(not sure need to be verify) but not 10K as you indicated, it's miniscule. I think you all over the place and need to calm down.
