awesome, but yet another video ruined by putting shitty music over the sound of the car.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. :frusty:awesome, but yet another video ruined by putting shitty music over the sound of the car.
As mentioned in the V8 thread, that's not the 2015 Mustang tachometer unfortunately.8000 RPM![]()
These vids are made by Marketing guys, not car guysAs mentioned in the V8 thread, that's not the 2015 Mustang tachometer unfortunately.
I would also like a version of the video with more exhaust note and less music!

I think they do this on purpose to cover up what is obviously NOT a stock exhaust, as to not get people thinking otherwise....:thumbdown:awesome, but yet another video ruined by putting shitty music over the sound of the car.
I think the "cover up" theory is a bit far fetched, at least for the reason you present. We've heard audio clips since before the car was even announced and they've all sounded pretty darn aggressive. I agree with most that this is just because marketing folks can be kind of clueless as to what excites the real hardcore fans, like most of us on here. They are catering to a whole different set of demographics than the hardcore fan types.I think they do this on purpose to cover up what is obviously NOT a stock exhaust, as to not get people thinking otherwise....
Btw, I'm not crazy, that last video is Race Red not CO, right?
I hope you're right, because if it sounds like those videos from the factory that'll save me some money on aftermarket exhaustI think the "cover up" theory is a bit far fetched, at least for the reason you present. That said, if it is a cover up, I would think it would be the other way around. Considering the situation with HP/TQ numbers, I think they'd want to play down the sound a bit so that people are surprised with how loud and aggressive it is from the factory.
Personally, I think it will be quite a bit louder and more aggressive sounding than the previous models, including the BOSS 302's. My reasoning is that it's a global car now. They can make it louder and more aggressive than normal to appeal to people in other Countries that want a "classic loud American V8" sound right from the factory. At the same time, making it a bit raspier than many here in the USA would like, keeps the aftermarket scenario in a good spot to continue making better sounding exhaust systems.
We love to personalize our vehicles, making them louder, better and one-of-a-kind. This approach leaves the door open to both. You'll get people who want it to be loud and sound fairly good when they go on that first test drive of a Mustang they've never really considered before. You'll also get people who are fanatics who are surprised by it, but will still want to change the overall sound pretty quickly. IMO, the 2011 - 2014 GT exhaust was way too take sounding from the factory.
Lol I have been saying that about their marketing department since the car was debut. :lol:I hope you're right, because if it sounds like those videos from the factory that'll save me some money on aftermarket exhaust
And yeah, it's no surprise to anyone here that Ford's marketing department really, really sucks...
+1Lol I have been saying that about their marketing department since the car was debut.
