I agree, there is no way Ford can make any of S550 platform Mustang compete with the new Camaros. I am not seeing it, unless they pull something extraordinary like switching out some body parts with aluminum or carbon fiber. But I don't see that happening either, Ford is happy playing it safe...

Now I see why this refresh has a look only a mother could love. They didn't use the same designer that designed the 2015-17 models. This new guy needs to be moved to a different department, he doesn't know how to design a mustang.

I have myself to blame for this. I shared a concept I designed with Ford Performance about two years ago. I think they took that concept into consideration while making this but they fucked it up. :lol:

When is it ending?

I've always questioned Ford's marketing decisions, they've been a bit unreasonable in recent years especially with the mustang. If they are doing a private unveiling or revealing the car on a TV show or Tv appearance, then that means MY18 has nothing special going for it in terms of power...

Why would they release teasers or leaks today. The mustang is just getting a make-over, they are not releasing a whole new car. Wait until Monday for the reveal.

So the Mustang beats the Camaro with features that most Mustang owners couldn't care less about. Maybe they forgot to mention that the Camaro is lighter, faster, and far more track-ready than the Mustang. Lazy PR stunt from Ford...as usual.

Nooo... I want the Mustang sales to stay low, this is the only way Ford wouldn't fuck up with the new refresh. They'd play it way too safe if they are ahead, instead of getting huge power bumps and suspension upgrades, we'd probably get fancy new hood blinkers and scoops.

The new Camaros are quite impressive, great performer right out of the box with all their packages. kudos to Chevy for raising the bar so high up. Hope Ford is able to impress us with the upcoming MY18 with something more than just hood blinkers and new colors no one cares about. :tsk: [ame=""]

Hopefully Ford will stop being lazy soon and give us a proper sports car that'll compete with the Corvette.
