Cool air, E85, and 32 degrees timing makes a lot of torque on a 12 to 1 motor. ;).

Traction becomes the issue...

Cold weather makes these cars BREATHE! Im in Southeast Florida, so we don't participate in the cold weather thing till at LEAST January. Im jealous of all the temperature posts I'm seeing that are in like the 60s lol

I've actually considered it. Lots of cheap land, low construction costs, and basically no building codes. I've had a dream of building my own track one day. Alaska might be where it's at.
Not sure where in Alaska you're talking about but it ain't near Anchorage. Been there done that, and low cost was not part of that living experience.

They're called winter tires. Active blizzards don't stop me from enjoying my car. Just a bit slower than I would on a clear day :giggle:

Gets about the same snowfall as Long Island on an average winter. It's also a lot wilder than Anchorage. Find the guy with the equipment and work out a deal with them. Like I said, basically no building codes.
Yeah, I've been to Seward, you are right, much different than Anchorage. All kinds of building codes in the Anchorage area. They even measure your windows to make sure they aren't over a certain height off the floor. They say its so kids can get out the window in an emergency.

The DA was 1,200' here this morning!! I haven't seen a DA that low since probably March, when I stopped driving the car every day due to Covid (mostly working from home). So, of course I took the long curvy back road route to the office to take advantage. Holy smokes did the car feel strong, considering the last time I drove it the DA was 4750'. IATs were 41 deg. F. I passed a slow moving car in 3rd on one of the short straights and couldn't believe how quickly the car accelerated 45-75 mph.

I was a little nervous about the PS4S and cold streets, but I had enough 55-60 mph straights before the curves to warm them up some - the car didn't slide around at all, although I wasn't pushing it that hard through the curves due to the temp.

Anyway, yep, very cool weather = more power = WOW!

Yeah, it's shocking how much power the car picked up since I returned from Arizona. Temps have been in the lower 40's at night and the car is definitely pulling hard.
