Yep. Expanding on that a little more is that low DA means there's more oxygen available since the air itself is more dense. Therefore, for a given flow rate in cubic feet per minute, you have more actual air mass entering the engine, and thus, more bang.Yeah, it's the state bird.
More useful elaboration. Low DA=good. High DA=bad. It's basically a measurement of how good the atmosphere is for engines. Low temps, low humidity, low altitude all make the air charge going into the engine denser. Dense air makes bigger bang. In technical terms.
