I'm thinking about purchasing a set of coilovers for my 15 GT. I just ordered a twin turbo kit from LPF and need to get my suspension up for it. I already have the steeda bushings and vertical links, and was wondering if the coilovers would help with traction, stability, or wheel hop enough to pull the trigger??

Coilovers, in theory, is just a combination of springs and damper...it does have features such as adjustable height, single/double adjustable damping, and things like that. If you have the cash, a good set of coilovers will help on what you want, otherwise you can also use a good combination of springs and dampers.

For wheel hop and stuff, little mods helps a lot...CB005 or Steeda brace/bushing support/sleeves, Steeda LCA, and toe bearing. I'd stop right here and tell you the next important thing is wheels and tires.

Tires are ordered as well. Nitto NT05 305/35/19 rear and 275/35/19 in front. Wheels are 19x10 all around.

You can definitely make the car feel alot more solid with the right coilover setup. Our test car was very wishy-washy with the lowering springs and standard PP shocks that were on the car. It's much more solid and predictable in corners and on launches with our new setup installed. We can also adjust the spring rate for whatever different driving situations that the car is put in to make it more of what we want. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help you out!

It all depends on what you want.

They are more expensive and harder to setup. They also give you more adjustability.

Question is do you need the extra adjustability? For a street only car, no, IMHO. I don't expect it to be a big help on the drag strip. So how much time to you expect to get on a road course?
