Threatening deadly force with a firearm is not a justifiable response to a property crime is probably not a good idea firstly, secondly, even if state allows assault charges you still have responsibility to retreat since it's a vehicular altercation. Common sense rules. Mustangs can be cleaned, but getting arrested when you're the victim is worse.Anyways as far as the thread goes...
Holy shit! Sorry you had that happen to you. You showed much more restraint than I would have.
Kid was playing with fire since damn near everyone in this state carries.
If this is your normal route and his perhaps you’ll cross paths with him again. Hopefully.
Unfortunately, they are just plain rude. At least where I happen to be."Florida" is definitely the right state to mention. Must be something in the water down there, lots of weird stuff coming out of Florida.
I agree 100%. I’m just saying that in a state where carrying weapons is popular if you decide to do something like that you’re playing with fire as you may encounter someone who doesn’t share the same thought process and pull their weapon. I don’t carry and if I did I wouldn’t pull it on someone for a property crime.Threatening deadly force with a firearm is not a justifiable response to a property crime is probably not a good idea firstly, secondly, even if state allows assault charges you still have responsibility to retreat since it's a vehicular altercation. So you would shoot the the coffee thrower guy with your .45 and it’s hollow point ?
Great post. That's exactly what I'm wondering too. I carry daily and talk to others I work with that carry. The views some people have are weird to me just as mine are likely weird to them. The example is the guy who carries condition 3 (chamber empty) and using the act of drawing as a form of intimidation. He then chambers the round in an act of "getting serious". Now I carry condition 1 (round in the chamber, hammer back) or "cocked and locked" and deescalate till there isn't any choice but to down an actual threat to life. I guess what I'm getting at in this early morning ramble/rant is that 1. Why on earth would you even consider a gun when someone isn't threatening you or yours? and 2. Why do people feel the need to act like king s**t on turd island when they have a gun? I can go on for days on those open carry people with their D bag special thigh holsters. Walk softly with a big stick. Things are just things.

True story lolGreat post.
Here’s the answer to your question #2:
Because *some* people who can or do legally own firearms talk as such on forums because they are behind a keyboard, have the mentality of a peanut, wear a blue Underoos T-shirt with a huge red and yellow S, swing from vines like Tarzan, rule the Wild West like the Lone Ranger and can do ANYTHING without repercussions, ‘just because’.![]()
Reminds me of buying clothes for an interview. I was shopping solo and know very well how my fashion sense is so I walked up to a random mom pushing a stroller to ask how well the slacks and shirt matched. I wasn't wearing the clothes, they were in my hands on hangers. Just walking up to her, she looked like I was going to peel her skin off or something. Took a minute after asking the question before she just told me they looked fine together. People don't know how to be social anymore. We have our small group of friends and everyone else may as well be from another planet. Could be one of a hundred reasons for the OP to get coffee thrown at him and I bet none of them would make sense to most of us.To give you some idea of how degenerated our society has become, yesterday I took the Mustang out for a cruise. I spot this nice Camaro SS and come to the light next to him rolled down my window and said "nice car!" The guy looked at me like I had 3 heads and I continued to say how lucky we are to see cars like this again. Once he realized that I wasn't a dip which took him almost the whole light cycle, he said thanks.
You can't even be nice to people without someone thinking something is up.
I thought the only reason to have a convertible was so you could leap onto the offender's hood and blast away thru the windshield.I would imagine it's quite difficult to shoot someone from one moving car to another.
Very smart advice. And go to jail for the rest of your life and lose all your family and loved ones in the process. Please think first before you act. It's not worth it. The coffee throw will get it back to them. In G-d's doing. Even in 10 years from now. Karma waits like a snake in the grass.Sorry that happened. But let’s be real. You did something to make this prick though coffeee at you. It’s funny as hell but not funny at the same time. This is why I carry a .45 under my seat with hollow points. I would have followed him with cops on line lol
Yeah I don’t carry but I grew up around guns and I’m all for owning guns etc etcThat's exactly what I'm wondering too. I carry daily and talk to others I work with that carry.
