Manual for me. Autos with a stall seem to do best with 3.31 gears.

On these cars, you only need 85% for the tuning process. Once the fueling is dialed in for 85%, it will run safely on anything from E70 to E100 because the fueling system is closed loop.

You can usually find local speed shops willing to sell you a small amount of E98 to blend for your initial tune. That's the easiest way I found to do it anyway. All the stations around here were E70-E75 when I was getting my tune dialed in.

EDIT: anyone in the DFW area that's needing a few gallons of E98 for their initial tune, let me know. I can give you the information to the shop where I got mine.

hes probably sleeping.

the only downside, is he did all the work and brought the car. so we didn't have a before and after, and we have one of the stingiest dyno's out there..

my auto made 330's -340's stock

the up side, is he's a track guy....which means we'll get some great et's, especially with bowling green coming up!

I learned long ago that the dyno is just a tool. The only one I ever put faith in the numbers is one I used all the time so I could correlate gains on it to my track times. Trying to compare numbers across different dynos in different locations is usually pretty fruitless. I can't wait to see what it runs at the track!

RB`S at the track

RB`S dad here in Fl and he is in Michigan he got back after midnight last night from the tuning session in Ohio. He slept a few hours and left early to 131 Drag way for shake down passes. The drive there went great with the new set up , he is making his first shake down pass soon and will be sending data logs to Lund for some adjustments to the tune. He will be posting time slips Good or Bad today:thumbsup:

these are my favorite kinds of customers..

i see so many people get hung up on dyno numbers, and never take their car to the track,

ets and mph is where it's at, this shows what a car is doing!

Im ready to see some numbers. Ive been following this and the boss install thread closely. I want to make the switch but waiting to see if the newer good tuning can eliminate most of that low end hp/tq loss. Im ready to pull the trigger on a boss or cj any day now.
