Clutch shudder -- used '20 PP2

There's absolutely no reason to spend the money on a 2nd set of wheels & tires. Plus, you're missing the entire point to driving a PP2 car, and what gives it it's performance.

It's double duty car. Track/fun some of the time but interstate cruiser for a lot of it. It's a 1600 mile round trip between Utah and California, so it makes no sense to burn up those tires for that kind of driving. We'll find some PP1 wheels with touring tires and swap as needed.

No, it's not being tracked, or you would have told us that either in the first thread you had about this situation, or here in this thread before the 3rd page. You stated specifically it was to go on some "twisties", not the track. And mostly road tripping on the freeways.

Logically, you must also have 2 sets of wheels and tires for your Bullitt, so as to not "burn up those tires" it came with. Please share what "touring" tires you bought in the PP1 sizes.

Look....it's your Dad's car & money, he can do as he wishes.

But there's no logic in going through all the expense of buying a 2nd set of wheels, tires, and TPMSs to go from a 340 tread wear rating to a 500. From either a $$ or an enjoyment/performance perspective.

It's not that much of a difference in tire life & cost, so you probably won't save a dime over-all. In fact it might even cost more, factoring in mounting, balancing, and a second set of TPMSs, etc. Especially considering the car came with a brand new set of OEM size tires from the start.

For the clutch shudder, Ford is replacing my clutch and flywheel under warranty as I write this. Was only a little shudder starting from a stop.

I wasn’t so lucky
I kept telling them and took the car 5 times to ford and each time they told me it was normal.
When the warranty ran out they said ooo clutch judder 3000€ please.
I told them to piss off and left it be. It judders but just a few extra revs controls it.

i'm not sure exactly what clutch shutter is, but i notice in reverse my clutch feels weirder than 1st, like it would be easier to stall. since it does that thing where it automatically gives a bit of gas as you let off the clutch, i sort of just hold the clutch half engaged as i reverse without giving it gas and it feels a bit shakey maybe?
