I have a '19 GT350 with a mantic clutch and light flywheel. When the car is cold, I can engage the clutch smoothly with no harsh vibrations and chatter. But after driving for a while, especially on a warm-hot day, the clutch engages violently the moment I try to engage the clutch. I understand I have to give plenty of gas with a car that has a light flywheel. But after the car warms up, the clutch doesn't engage smoothly as if it were cold. It vibrates and chatters harshly especially after giving it sufficient throttle. Has the clutch gone bad? What should actions should I take next. Thank you in advance!

Did you reach out to Mantic? The unfortunate thing with that situation, assuming the clutch is bleed properly, is the only way to truly trouble shoot that is to pull the tranny and check the clutch. If you’re doing it yourself make sure to document everything with photos as you disassemble it. I’d double check and record all torque specs as well. I don’t have any experience with Mantic but do with McLeod. The Rxt I used was a nice piece, with the exception it brought the engagement point up to a higher position then oem.

Unfortunately, I think this is the nature of the Mantic cerametallic clutch material. I installed this Mantic clutch in my 2018 GT back in July 2024 when I was replacing a bad throw out bearing. I had the same experience as you and ended up going back to the OEM clutch after only putting 3K miles on the Mantic clutch.

I am finding the cerametallic clutch tiring to drive. The shuddering and the need to blip high to engage the clutch is killing me. Would you guys recommend a drivable clutch that can engage smoothly and comfortably while taking abuse from spirited driving? Preferably with organic material or a mix with others? Thank you again!

I spent 5 years abusing oem clutches on the track and never had an issue - only once had a throw out bearing go out.

Sounds like the brass clutch I installed in a pickup many years ago except the shuddering started the moment I finished the install. Snapped the ring gear bolts three times over the years. Mostly due to idiots plowing and no clue how to drive. Not the same but close enough. OEM has no disadvantages in my mind.
Light components exacerbate the problem.

I have the oem flywheel, which will be resurfaced. Is there anything else I need for the kit? Thanks again, guys.

How many miles do you have. Not sure you need a new slave cylinder unless you’re just being preventative. You may try your local dealer to, some are pretty competive if you mention the online price when shipping is thrown in.
