Alright, thanks for the info on the two. Definitely going RST as well.

Side note the car ran really good today on a short trip to the store. Very unpredictable. Noticed long trips the car runs like crap. Something tells me the tranny fluid is getting to hot.

I've had my GT for 2 months, and it was really irritating me initially as well. I had it in my head that it wouldn't be an issue to shift at 2500 rpm when I'm not driving hard as it is a V8, and should have plenty of power to keep revs low. It has enough power, but the Rev hang is a problem. Now I shift at 3100-3400 when just casually cruising, and it's much better. When it's cold it's a bit of a pain because I purposely try to keep revs fairly low until the oil temp comes up.

I have the Steeda spring, but honestly I'm not sure I ever needed it. I think the main thing was to shift at higher RPM's, and then being somewhat patient, and letting the revs drop for a sec while moving to the next gear. While driving hard it all works together very well it seems. I'm currently at 1600 miles, and it took every bit of a thousand miles to figure out what worked for me.

I still haven't figured it out. It's almost like the clutch engagement point is different depending on RPM's.

I get this feeling as well. Its like Im driving a different setup every time I drive. Some days its great, other days it sucks.

This has been the only real remedy I have found as well. If I do not shift about 3100 its jurkey and not smooth shifting in any gear, even more so into 2nd. I just cant get a pattern down that works well for it. Ive tried slow, Ive tried fast, different RPMs and every time I think Im making progress its like something changes.

1-2 sucks at anything below 3000 for me regardless of temp. When it's cold, I try shifting a little earlier than normal, but the rev hang is still there until the engine warms up.

Change your fluid - I went with Royal Purple and it made a WORLD of difference. Its an easy 1hr job on jack stands, 20min if you can get a lift. Just do it, or have it done....

Get a steel braided clutch hose, will fix all the inconsistency issues. The stock hose will swell under pressure/heat and cause inconsistency in clutch feel.

I wonder if some of it is the dual mass flywheel. Anyone replaced theirs and have better results?

This has helped a lot. Either shifting under 2k or over 3.5k is where I've noticed it shifts best. Even then though, that's kind of hit and miss.

I'm so SO glad I'm not the only one.

Yep, same for me on the higher RPM shifting. Shifting at 3k or above it is much smoother than at 2k. It's like the harder I drive it, the better I can shift smoothly.
