Well bravo for you. Most people would prefer a moderate effort clutch to enhance DD use. This is not a Z28 competitor.
I am sorry but if ford specifically bought a Z/28 to benchmark the car against its competition at least in sum ways you gotta give them that

This is a GT350, not a car made for Granny. I test drove a GT PP a little over a week ago and thought the damn clutch was entirely to soft/easy. I daily drive my 2012 5.0 6spd with a Stage 3 clutch in stop and go traffic for an hour to and from work. I'm 48 and my leg is fine. I don't get the whining for an automatic or please give me a ladies clutch pedal stuff. :confused:

There's nothing inherently great about a high-effort clutch.

It should be as light as possible, with an easy to distinguish engagement point.

I did see somewhere that the GT350 uses a twin-disc clutch and a lightweight, dual-mass flywheel. Not sure if the twin-disc clutch allows less effort than the clutch in the normal GT (maybe that one is also twin-disc).

Good point.

I think it's all about balance. Car with sportier medium resistance steering should have a matching medium effort clutch pedal. I know steering is adjustable on these cars. But the design purpose of GT350 calls for medium steering and therefore matching clutch. IMHO.

I am glad to see the guage cluster doesn't say "ground speed"...

I believe a twin disk clutch will require more effort.. Thinking back on my STI and evo days

Nothing wrong with appropriate amount of effort in a beast of a car.. I don't like the effortless clutch pedals or the stiff clutch pedal type..

Twin disc clutches reduce pedal effort to achieve the same clamping force. The Mcleod RST/RXT is very popular with the '11-14 Mustang racing crowds and has a very nominal pedal effort.

A clutch pedal that is too soft kills the feel of the car, IMO. The '15 GT I test drove had a clutch pedal so light I felt like I could press it down with my finger. It gave my girlfriend a tough time driving it because you couldn't feel the engagement point at all. I removed the assist spring in my 2011 and it made a huge improvement to normal and spirited driving.
