Close-call thread (Dash Cam)

That is an odd green light. Why would they have both direction green light at the same time?
Unless there is a yield sign on her end so technically it's her fault. What does the small white sign say between the two sets of green light?

I'd probably be more lenient that bone head if there wasn't a dozen other streets she could have turned off of to turn around later. That was a compulsive decision in spite of other options available.

Yes, odd intersection. I'm guessing there are no left turn signs as you approach and then they channel you into a new lane. Clearly she was negligent. It's just a question of whether she was ignorant or stupid. I'll bet that's something some people do to deliberately foil the no left hand turn design.

Do mind sharing the location? I'll bet Google Street View would show the traffic signs on her approach to that intersection.

you can tell that the person was not from around there, otherwise they woulda known that it's not a good idea to be doing that there.

She lives a couple miles from that intersection and unless you live under a rock, you'll have been to that area a bunch to grab food.

Watched vid 10 times to try and understand that intersection...I’m sure it makes more sense when you’re driving thru it. It clearly didn’t matter to her that everybody within an 1/8 of a mile had the right of way.

Maybe 10% of people in Dallas knows what “yield” means (or does it). I have gotten honked at for stopping or slowing down at a yield sign for oncoming traffic. Also, I see people who blow through their yield sign when I have the R.O.W. We have a lot of non-English speakers on the road so I’m not sure how much that plays into it, but that is no excuse. Mostly, people are just lazy drivers.

Yeah same here. The freaking Pakistani drivers are the worst. I suppose that's the way you have to drive over there just taking right of way but rolling out into the highway to make a turn and just sitting there with their hands up out of the window so we all stop just puts my ass end at risk. They also always seem to be the ones cross blocking intersections. Everytime my lights green and I've got a car in the crosswalk 9 times out of 10 it's a Pakistani.

Now the speeding lunatic? Thats usually me the white guy. I'll own that.

Had a close call with a light pole this morning. I was slowly accelerating up to highway speed (70) in 5th gear when the backend decided to slip out.
Turns out lowered Mustang can make it through ankle deep snow rather well with snow tires.

Sorry for the loud blowing noise of the defroster on high hitting the dash cam mic.
