I just bought a used sai li fuel system...kind of a headache..

but anyways...its very dirty and i don't feel comfortable installing it in the condition that it is...
Cleaning fuel lines/regulator is simple...cleaning the fuel hat, not so much.

Any tips tricks? Any thoughts on why a whole fuel system could be so dirty? It was apparently running e85 for less than 1k miles.

any help would be appreciated..thanks!!

Nothing in that hat is serviceable, it's all designed for one time use, in order to take it apart you have to cut the hoses to the pumps, and finding new hoses to replace them with that are also e85 safe is not easy.

The whole thing sits in gas when it’s installed correct? So submerging it wouldn’t be a problem right?

Sorry to bump this thread but I just want to make sure I understand correctly... all of the components on the fuel hat sit under fuel correct? So me submerging the hat clean it should be no problem?
