Thanks for the description...appreciate itYes sir, that's the current setup I have. I just put mentions of what I tried before that.
So SLP LM2 + Stock resonator: Good sound, not enough for me though also no rasp at all...that I could hear. Pretty tame overall.
H-Pipe + No mufflers: Total crap and unbearably loud.
SLP LM2 + H-Pipe: Good volume outside the car, barely any drone, some rasp above 3500RPM and 50%+ throttle. At WOT it sounds amazing, and when revved with no load it's still loud. At idle it's just a V8 burble, it's got some bass to it but overall not enough to bother anyone at 6AM.
I considered the Roush mufflers but after hearing them in person I realized that would just be way too loud for me. I am highly considering a Corsa Sport catback in the future though.
I'm gonna be one of few by saying this but I honestly hate how the Corsa Xtreme catback sounds especially when it's revved out. It's like a permanent rasp that never goes away and it's such a high frequency that it basically sounds like the rasp is the exhaust sound itself. Then there's the guy who had a triple X-Pipe made for his Xtreme and that was utterly disgusting, no offense to him at all if he's on here, too much for me. This last paragraph is purely my opinion, please do not get offended if I came across as a bit too harsh, it is not meant to bash in any way shape or form.
Just asking, not offended, but have you heard it in person? It does have some rasp, I'll concede, but the videos make it sound way, way worse. I'd agree that with LTs or cat deletes it sounds like crap, unless extra resonators are added.I'm gonna be one of few by saying this but I honestly hate how the Corsa Xtreme catback sounds especially when it's revved out. I'll give you that I'm not sure I heard it in person because there was an instance where this guy who was playing tag with some AMG Mercedes guys and by the shape/loudness of his mufflers I'm pretty sure he had the Xtreme catback. If I'm correct, I got to hear plenty of the exhaust itself during their driving, which ranged from behind me, next to me when he revved at me at a stop light, then a mile away when he took off chasing the AMGs. Of course I could be wrong, but I'm 95% sure he had an Xtreme catback, just based on how loud it sounded in any condition other than idling at a red light.Just asking, not offended, but have you heard it in person? Yeah, revving is not the best for it; the worst is brought out. Under heavy load it's got a much deeper sound than most people expect. It's extremely aggressive and violent sounding. It's definitely not for everyone, and I get that, but many are quick to condemn without ever hearing them in person. It's possible you heard one with headers, in which case, it's ugly and I get why you didn't like it.I'll give you that I'm not sure I heard it in person because there was an instance where this guy who was playing tag with some AMG Mercedes guys and by the shape/loudness of his mufflers I'm pretty sure he had the Xtreme catback. With that being said let's just base my judgement on videos due to uncertainty, so I'll concede there. That doesn't mean I'm not open minded about the exhaust though, it just isn't high on my list of exhausts I'm interested in. I tend to lean towards the deeper sounding exhausts first which is why I say that. I do really like the sound of the Corsa Sport catback though and that particular one is pretty high up on that aforementioned list.
You're probably right. Also I completely agree on the Sport even based on videos hence why it's pretty much the one I'm saving for. Looked at alternates but they don't seem to catch my ear the way the Sport does.Yeah, revving is not the best for it; the worst is brought out. The Corsa Sport is an amazing sounding exhaust. I've ridden in and heard two cars from the outside. Top notch. Modern muscle at its finest.
Is that where the term 'blowing raspberries' came from or is it the other way around?:lol:I'm gonna be one of few by saying this but I honestly hate how the Corsa Xtreme catback sounds especially when it's revved out.
