So far both AM and CJ have treated me well. Purchases and returns went just as planned. I am not fond of CJs need to have every return photographed before issuing an RMA

But they did take care of business properly.

Not to make excuses for any of them. But in these times things can go bad quick for a business. Especially in the customer service department.
I had mine at the dealership recently for the shock tower bushing/bearing replacement under warranty. The tech quit!!.

They had to give me my car back and reschedule. I have to hand it to my service writer for being honest about it. Russell Smith Ford in Houston has been very good so far.
I can understand. Being in the sales and customer service field my self I completely understand. I do however know that it’s easier for me to take care of business immediately rather than later.

To be honest CJ Pony parts is the worst parts distributor I have ever worked with in my 25 years of modding cars. Customer service response times are terrible, lack of knowledge for company processes is rampant, management is downright disrespectful and unprofessional. I personally would pay more money to order from another company and would avoid them like the plague!

OP, sorry to hear about your experience.

FWIW, I have, to date, only positive experiences with AM, LMR, CJPony, Lethal, Beefcake, Steeda, RTR...

Maybe I've been lucky, but even when returning items or cancelling orders, things have gone smoothly.

I currently have created a ticket with LMR for a return of a FP Bullitt grille kit that arrived damaged.
Not damaged in shipping, but packaged damaged and shipped to me.
I suspect it was poor quality control from the manufacturer OR a return to LMR and not inspected upon receipt, but simply restocked and resold. Either way, I'm confident they'll make it right.
If not, a PayPal dispute will settle it. PayPal doesn't play games, buyers are protected, and that's why I only use PayPal.

I have ordered, and received in good condition, several orders from CJ Pony parts in the last month or so.
GT350 Shift Knob, Air Filter, Valve Covers

Update....
I never did receive a call or an email back. I did however continue to call. I did speak with a staff member and have submitted said pictures for the missing piece totaling <$50 to hopefully have shipped out once the investigation is completed on their side.
So they have the wheels turning.....

Again no. Lol I know the suspense is killing everyone. It is CJ Pony, we will just put it out there.
I had the same bad customer service as you. I bought a Drake Rear Deck Lid cover which was defective, warped, camera wouldn't line up ETC. CJ wouldn't return my emails and wouldn't provide a Free Replacement for the defective Drake Raer Deck Lid. I even talked with Drake which said I had to go through CJ and their was nothing they were going to do to help me out with their DEFECTIVE Rear Deck Lid.
**So I cut it in two pieces and threw in the garbage.
**Since then, I have spent over 18k in Mods, Custom parts ETC and not One Cent went to CJ or Drake. Power of the purse so to speak.
The Quality Of any Company isn't when everything is going well, but rather when things go bad. That is when you know how good of a company is, do they take of their customers and make things right?. This is what makes all of the difference if I go back to them.
Good Luck

I had the same issue with a Ford Performance rear deck panel. It was a blem. They had me take a picture. Quickly refunded. I just ordered a fresh one to save time.

Being a restorer.I have ordered parts from about every source there is Corvette Central, Long Island Corvette etc... AM and CJ are no better no worse in my experience. Any one of them can have an issue here and there. They are all still in business for a reason. A reasonable rate of customer satisfaction.

I will say LMR has been consistently the best for customer service in my experience.
Must be a Texan thing 😉

Late Model Restoration, LMR has been the most consistent and reliable parts vendor I have ever delt with. A.M. and C.J. on the other hand, not so much.

A fellow Houstonian! I will say, I've had bad experiences with them. 1. Drilling the front plate into the front bumper. Second, taking 9 hours to sell me a car when I had cash.

That said, I got a smoking deal on the car. So maybe just the cost of doing business.

I was only referring to the service. I bought mine at Mcree in Clear Lake. Russell Smith is closer to home. Just use them for warranty work. No holes in my bumper! When I saw the un-holed bumper I was thrilled! :like:
