I couldn't wait any longer for the DA to go below 3,000' to show what the gears were worth....so it was time to install the Circle "D" 4K stall converter. This was a smooth job and uneventful. A flywheel/flexplate holding tool was the only specialty tool I used. When it come to jacks it's really worth getting the one a adjustable fixture. Remember I'm nearing 50, puny and did this by myself. Really no different than a Fox Body except you get to keep the headers on! Lower the tail a little put together a dozen or so extensions lol, for the top two bellhousing bolts. I made a little go no go gauge for the converter pull out, they're looking for 1/8" +_ .050, I thread the bolt in a couple of turns then push in on the bolt making sure the converter slop is gone, then finish threading the bolt by hand till it touches the flexplate, then pull out on the bolt pulling the converter to the flexplate, then I can see if I have enough or too much travel. I'd rather be under an 1/8", the next time I have it out I'll shim it tighter. And the rest is NOP (Normal Operating Procedure). Oh I almost forgot I ran 11.81 1.63 60' in 3,100' DA! Thanks TEAM BEEFCAKE & Circle D! Awesome service and top of the line parts! I've installed hundreds of converters, and Circle D is a class act from product to packaging.
