A word of warning for those relying on a Faraday pouch to keep there key safe from thieves grabbing the signal. I suggest you check yours actually work.
When I bought my car I ordered a pair from Amazon, a few days after receiving them I forgot to remove the key from the pouch to undo the door and was shocked to find it still unlocked. I tried the other pouch and that was the same, I sent those back. I then ordered a pair from a company that advertised on the Internet and one worked as it should but the other let the car unlock and start even with the key in the pouch.
Finally I ordered a pair from Defender in the UK and these seem to work.
Interestingly I told a friend who was given a pair with his car insurance for his Land Rover and they didnt work.
In all cases the pouches were fully closed and had been closed for at least 5 mins.
