A word of warning for those relying on a Faraday pouch to keep there key safe from thieves grabbing the signal. I suggest you check yours actually work.
When I bought my car I ordered a pair from Amazon, a few days after receiving them I forgot to remove the key from the pouch to undo the door and was shocked to find it still unlocked. I tried the other pouch and that was the same, I sent those back. I then ordered a pair from a company that advertised on the Internet and one worked as it should but the other let the car unlock and start even with the key in the pouch.
Finally I ordered a pair from Defender in the UK and these seem to work.
Interestingly I told a friend who was given a pair with his car insurance for his Land Rover and they didnt work.
In all cases the pouches were fully closed and had been closed for at least 5 mins.

defo a good idea to check them when you get them and then a few months later, for exactly what you have above. I had to replace one of mine as I'd crushed it with repeated stuffing it a jacket pocket just a little too small. I believe all the facelift models can turn off the keyless entry, that'll stop it for sure

edit: yeah i use the defender brand as well I'm sure.

Before receiving Skye, I purchased a pair of pouches from SLNT; they are sturdy and well made. Tested them shortly after receiving the car and confirm they work as intended. The fob is a ghost when inside a closed pouch.

yep had the same problem no matter what I always check and I double bag them just as a precaution over kill maybe but better to be safe the sorry as I hide a spare fob in all my vehicles just in case, mustangs do suck as on the convertables you have to use a key to open unlike the keypads on the explores f150s

Hello; A few months ago I tried something. Had emptied one of those foil type bags of coffee. Rinsed out the bag & let it dry. Put my cell phone in the bag and closed it. Tried to call the cell and the call did not go through. Took the phone out and the call went through.
May not work for key fobs and would not be stylish even if it does work.

I just had a spare "emergency" key cut and hide it rather than a whole fob. Not as good as a whole fob if I lost it, I guess, but it has saved me once when I got locked out. I do like the number pads on the Edge and Fusion.
