I have been contemplating doing this as well. Question is: What to do with the Pirelli's? Is there a market for second hand (crap) tires?
if you had a GT, Line Lock would come in hand to find a use for those tires :headbang:

You can always put them on marktplaats.nl and see what happens.

I'm probably gonna keep mine and put them back on once I'm selling the car. It's always a plus to have brand new tires on when selling a used car and the vast majority of people doesn't know they're crap anyway.

I won't be keeping them as I have no place to store them, it's one of the perks of living in 'de Randstad'. Also wouldn't like having to haul these big-ass tires around (they certainly won't fit in the trunk :headbonk:). I'm kinda hoping some tire place will make me a decent trade.

And ... selling the car?? :eyebulge:

I have ever so small hopes that the new 10-speed automatic for 2018 will have a better CO2 value. If by some miraculous wonder our taxes haven't quadrupled by then that will be my trade up.

Did manage to source some OK 8,5x19 ET35 in black VERY reasonably priced:

http://www.bandenleader.be/aluminium-velgen/diewe/trina-674/8-5x19-et35-5x114-3-72-265343

Would this be be good fit and looks on Magnetic EB?
Well looks is a matter of personal taste but technically they should fit. They come out of the wheel well 4 mm more than the stock wheels. Since there is room to lower the ET up to 20mm that will fit just fine. Just make shure the shape of the spokes clears the brakes.

Yea, I though we needed 9x19s? And that 8.5x19s would be smaller than the stock?

If you put 235/45R19's on them the diameter is only 1.02% larger compared to stock. This is almost the same size at the 'base model' wheel, which is 1.08% larger than our stock 255/40R19's.

The 50th Anniversary package has 8.5x19 wheels. ET value is 42.5. So an 8.5x19 with ET 35 will fit just fine and would actually be an even better match to a 235/45/19 winter tire than a 9x19.
