Has anyone found some cheap 'skinnier' wheels for drag racing that don't cost an arm and a leg and work with PP1 Brembos?

They don't need to be super skinny, just smaller than the 9" 265's I have now!

<$100 per wheel.

I'd like Welds but not for that much!

Gotcha. Yeah the Welds can be pretty salty. And the options are pretty limited when using pp front brakes. Not sure I know of any off hand at that price point but a couple that come to mind are VMS Racing and Late Model Resto both have 18x5 front runners at $500 per pair

So the idea of running skinnies is to reduce weight, right?
Problem is cheap wheels are normally heavy. Though admittedly, almost anything will be lighter than the stock wheels.

Exactly, especially compared to PP wheels.

SVEs for example are 7lbs lighter even for the 19x10 wider wheels, the 19x8.5s will probably save another 2-3lbs. That's 10 per corner plus tire weight savings.

Can he save a few more pounds by going true forged? Probably, but at the expense of 4x the price.

Indeed, my 20x9 with Michelin ps4s are fairly heavy. Looks like $250 for the vms 18x5 is my option, plus tires

Talked to a guy at the track with an 18 S550 who had Kia Stinger 18x4 spares he was using as skinny’s. Funny because I had just been contemplating doing some research on finding the same kinda thing. He said they bolted right up to his pp1 but he did have to grind down the bore w a dremel tool some to make it work or the proper way would be to have it machined. Here’s a pic of the same wheel I found online. Anyone else know of any spares that will work on a PP1 that wouldn’t require hub bore work?

I just dropped 1350 on a skinny tire rim package. Rims wont ship until November.. They are not cheap.
