Just bought my first GT and want to make it my own. Looking at the cervini night stalker and curious if anyone else has one and what your thoughts are and if you bought it painted. Curious how it matched the color of your car.

I have the stalker hood on mine. I can tell you this. Whatever you do, do not have them paint it. Take it to a good body shop and have them do it.
I paid for paint with Cervini. The hood didn't ship for weeks. Then they delayed it. Once it shipped they sent me tracking for someone else's hood so I thought mine went to TX. Nope, they still didn't even send mine. When it finally showed up I inspected it well before accepting it. It already had a very small spot on the underside paint that looked like something rubbed against it during shipping. The box was in bad shape so I was actually shocked it wasnt worse then it was. The spot wasnt bad and didn't feel like going through the hassle of calling them, sending it back, etc.. so I kept it. Everything else looked ok. Well that was for a good week as I was waiting to have it installed. A few spots on the under side where the air vents are started to peel. I had to take the hood and have the underside repainted so I wasn't happy about that. I've had my hood on for I believe almost a year now. Fitment is good although I did have to use spacers and move my fenders in some. I'm eventually going to have to have the top repainted because the clearcoat in some spots is bubbling near the ram air part. Cervini's uses very thin cheap paint and they clearly don't know how to let it dry. It matched perfectly, but save yourself time, money and a headache. Dont let them paint it. Their customer service sucks too. It was like pulling teeth just to get answers from them. They even sent me the wrong install kit with the ram air duct. They sent me a new set out, but it was again the wrong set. After the 3rd attempt they finally got it. I do like the hood, but I'll never buy another one from them after my experience. It is slightly heavier than stock so keep that in mind. If I had to do it over again I'd probably go with a lighter aluminum hood vs fiberglass.

I really appreciate the feedback. I was really curious what the paint looked like. Sorry about your experience but thanks for the reply

Their paint would be factory matched, but they'd go thin and would probably botch it. Many many posts and reviews about their paint quality. You'd get a way better job from a local body shop and cheaper. Something I learned after I had to repaint part of it. I would have saved $200 plus the repaint just to have it done locally.

Also looking at this hood. I am assuming you re-did your stripes. Did the body shop do that for you? If so what did they charge for that.

I had the stripes put on by a guy who just does graphics. I paid $500 for the old stripes removed and the new stripes installed. The factory stripes are much thicker and more heavy duty, but way more expensive. I just didn't care for the euro style stripes. A lot go no stripes with our color. I like them.

Sorry to hear your horror story with Cervinis. They sent me the wrong hood and then wouldn't pay for shipment back for they said my body shop didn't know what they were doing. The Cervinis Customer service manager has no clue what the hell he is going. Plus their fiber glass hood was extremely heavy. I went with a MP Aluminum Hood, fit great, NEVER BUY CERVINIS AGAIN..

Yea their customer service is terrible. I do like the hood. It's really only I think 6 lbs heavier then stock. I'll never order from them again though thats for sure.

Cervinis used to be good but has slipped over the years. They are heavy and Most of their hoods the ram air ones are fairly common unfortunately. They appear a bit me too at the local meets and shows here in florida. I do like their cobra r cowl hood but it weighs more than my factory hood.
