CEL P0456 evap small leak

So i have the CEL and i see online that canister purge valve in mustangs and fords in general are known to go bad. Is there a way to test mine before buying a new one?

You can put a small vacuum on it and see if it seals.
A common cause for this code is the gas cap, filler. Cover the filler opening with duct tape and see if the code goes away. If so, the problem is the fuller. I have fixed this by cleaning it with WD-40. Spray it down and function the flapper. A little dirt in there often is the problem.

Yes. Clean your flapper on gas tank. Plenty of YouTube videos on subject. I have to do mine once a year it seems.

Is there any other part this could be? I've cleaned the gas cap and replaced the purge canister, but the light comes back after a week or two

I get this code all the time. I just clear it with the Ngauge. I also get the check filler inlet all the time and it goes away the next time I fill up. I’m not gonna worry about it until I need to go for emissions.
