CEL light today

Scanned for codes and got
P0300 = random misfire
P0316 = cold start misfire in the first 1000 revolutions
both only 1 entry each, both entries in the same min of time, drove home 30 min ride checked again for additional codes and no new codes where listed.
Ran like a champ all the way home.
I didn’t clear codes and made apt for tomorrow at the dealer...ugh

Did you scan with your scanner, or get codes from the employee at a parts store? I can get misfire counts by cylinder using the torque pro app and my bluetooth OBD2 adapter.

I also have a decent OBD2 reader that reads all modules, which can also show me misfire counts by cylinder.

With your car still being under warranty, it's best to take it to the dealer. This will be covered.

Scanned with a scanner, my friend has a shop, he scanned it the first time for me, showed me how to do it and then I took it home with me to scan again when I got home. It did not show a code for a specific cylinder as misfire that would be P0301-P0308

This was specific as P0300 and that code is Random/ Multiple cylinder misfire detected

The P0316 Engine Misfire Detected on Startup (First 1000 Revolutions)

My guess is the dealer is going to clear the code and give it back to me to see if it occurs again, I only say that as long as it doesn’t throw that or anymore codes between now and the time I drop it off to them.
It goes in tomorrow morning, hopefully will know more later in the day.

Of course the cel has been on for 3 days this morning it was not but it went in anyway!
Dropped at the dealer this morning, dealer came back with the same codes p0300 and p0316
Please see attached to see the solution they applied.
This also seems to have taken care or the A10 trans lurching forward during shift from park to drive and the hard drop in gear going from 4th to 3rd in normal driving mode.
Hopefully it doesn’t come back.
