Did you contact Ultimate after seeing the metallic spun cat was all wadded up?

That should be covered under their warranty for quality/craftsmanship. I’d suspect that the spun metallic was either not the proper size or was not properly secured in the “barrel” of the pipe. I only surmise this because in your image, the other side was not wadded up at all and still looks relatively intact as it should be….

Sorry I missed this question earlier. I did not contact Ultimate regarding the cat and weld failures, as I felt it would have been a huge hassle to possibly have to send the piping back to them for inspection and repair. Instead, I chose to just deal with it myself, by cutting them out and paying someone to weld race mufflers in their place.
