About a year ago I installed BMR camber plates on Ford Performance M-18000F struts. Ever since then, they've been clunking or at least that's what I think. It started immediately after I installed them, and I've reinstalled them multiple times to make sure I did everything correctly. I've about had enough of the clunks so I'm looking for a different set of plates. I noticed on Vorshlag's website they have different options for all different strut types, whereas BMR and the other companies have more of a one size fits all approach, and probably designed their products around the OEM struts. Has anyone else with Ford Performance struts had luck with a different set of camber plates? Just looking at my options before I drop $700 on Vorshlag plates.

I went with Maximum Motorsports on the ford track struts. Never had any issue with them.

100% ^^^

I’ve only ever used Maximum Motorsports CC plates on my modified Mustangs - never ever an issue with clunking or rattles. I’ve been using their parts for over 30 years now with first products offered from them on the Fox Mustang platform.

If you’re 100% sure you have the CC plates installed correctly with no issues with any provided spacers/washers or the top plate bearing isn’t bad…. Then a front clunk could be a bad ball joint or the upper strut mount too. The premature failure of the strut mounts is also common with the S550’s.

This SSM was released for the GT350's regarding a front end clunk noise. Just because the SSM is for a GT350 doesn't mean the problem can't exist on other platforms:

Also the front strut mounts have been known to fail prematurely, causing a clunk noise from the front end:

The clunking started the day I installed these so it's gotta be something I messed with. I was suspecting these just had bad bearings to begin with, and I emailed BMR and they said they had some QC issues with bearings on the caster plates. It could also be the endlinks. I just bolted them on and didn't preload the sway bar before adjusting them or anything.
