No. But a dealer might bitch about "alterations to emissions control" if they notice it missing.
In which case “no” would not likely still be the correct answer, would it?

The dealer would never know it was removed unless they disassembled the intake for some reason.

Of course not. But they might. Or for some oddball reason his car might throw a code.

So I’d say the answer to the question posed isn’t a “no” but a “maybe”. The possibility exists and I’m thinking if Racer57 was concerned enough to ask the question this might be meaningful to him.

It's not going to throw a code unless you removed the outer sleeve too. There is no difference between the '21s that dont have them, and the '22-'23s that do. It's just a useless EPA add on.

I can't image any scenario where a dealer would care, let alone make an issue of it.
