Don’t be so quick to jump on the Trufiber bandwagon. I just had a fight with them over their CF dash and had to hound them to replace a piece that would not fit at all. They swore it wasn’t their fault the long dash piece was warped and wouldn’t fit. They finally sent me a replacement which still didn’t fit right and required lots of cussing and muscle to make it work. And still the dash isn’t a perfect fit.
We had different experiences, obviously. My dash was mint and took ~15 minutes to install, and that time included pulling out the old and swapping gauges.

Luck was on my side I suppose. Leaving the a/c vents out when pressing the dash in did help massively.

Must’ve been cause I tried installing it without any clips, with just clips, with clips and gauges, and with everything installed. The dash was warped, and the whole time TF was telling me “this is the first we we’ve heard of this” and “if mine is warped then they are all warped cause we use the same mold”. Whatever excuse they could come up with. I still have some gaps with the second one they sent me but they are tolerable so I decided it wasn’t worth fighting anymore.

Ok, I might have a CF affliction. lol😃

Anderson composite, CF hood arrived today as well as the CF Accelatec mirror covers. (The Anderson CF really pops in the sun! but blends in well with shadow black in the shade)

I have the same hood, it looks amazing! Get some hood pins installed though, you don’t want to lose it doing any spirited driving. They’re a necessity for hoods this light.

Quick question, How is the hood in the winter? We get bad winter here in Long Island at times. (Just concerned with the multiple vents)

Also, if you dont mind showing pics of the inside quick latch location under the hood?

Thanks again!:like:

It was difficult determining where to mount these but this seemed to be the best location. I believe this is the same location the GT500 hood pins are mounted, but Ford has a beefed up bracket for them so it’s slightly different. I utilized factory holes where they had push pins for the shroud, just had to drill them out a little larger.

As for the winter, I can’t answer that question. I just installed this hood last month and I will be DD this car in the winter here in Michigan, but I’m not too concerned. If you’re really worried about the vents, you could probably find some way to seal them underneath for that time.

Cool. Thanks!:like:
I got about a pound of hood heat shield insulation on mine right atm.
(the self stick ones from amazon)

I also drilled a small hole to route the oem washer hose, and used the existing holes near the hood mount to run the hose up.
Maybe overboard, but I wrapped the entire washer hose with cloth insulation tape. (hopefully would help prevent freeze-ups in the winter)

I may add a removeable sheet for the winter for the vents.
(maybe using hd velcro)

I actually wrapped the entire underside of the hood with the thermo-tec heat shields that Anderson composites recommended, and just the other day when I was getting my oil changed all $200 worth of it fell down. I’m not sure if I’ll just say F it and not bother reinstalling it or find some incredibly strong adhesive to apply and try to put it back up. We’ll see. But it was definitely really frustrating to have that happen.
