Personally I do car shows for the social interactions with other car people. I show my 1995 Cougar, not my 5k mile California Special. I show the Cougar because no one eles has one there.
I never expect a trophy.
YUp, I'm the only '75 cutlass "S" at most shows. Heck I'm the only '73-77 g.m. 2 door a body at most.

Another one here who’s participated in many local car shows with my 1994 Cobra. We go to have fun, look at all the other rides and to talk/meet with other Automotive Enthusiasts.

I never go with any expectations of winning anything at all.

Now, the Cobra has won its fair share of trophies - but again, I still don’t go with a ā€œI’m gonna winā€ attitude at all… and I also don’t get all pissed off when the car doesn’t win a thing (unlike some poor sports I have seen at various shows). To me, if the car is judged and nominated for a trophy fair and square by the rules, that’s just a bonus.

I don’t put up fancy placards or stats around my car. I like seeing them on other cars, but I just never bothered to create anything for mIne. I only display it’s SVT Certification showing that it is SVT Build #13.

Be aware too that some Clubs that sponsor shows can show favoritism towards their members who participate in the shows. I have seen this first hand with a Mustang Club in NJ (won’t name names) where nearly every ā€œwinnerā€ was one of their own.

Just go to the shows to have fun, gather knowledge, meet others and if you win something, great - if not, it’s the experience that you won.

Oh and if the show is on grass/dirt area - always wipe down your tire treads so there’s no grass/debris all over them - it just looks bad and ugly. :)

all performance mustang GT's and base mustang GT's have brembos front and rear, its weather there painted and stamped brembo
LOL, no - that is nonsense.

Regular GT front brakes are made by Continental, not Brembo.
Rears are FoMoCo and are _single_ piston not 4 piston like on this poster (which I would change - that looks ridiculous) - they have nothing to do with Brembo.

(anyone that ever changed pads in rear brakes knows there are single piston )

This is very important. Few weeks ago I was at a car show where they had the "all cars are welcome message" and mentioned "Top 10 and best in class". When it came time to give out the awards, only top 3 and all three winners were old / classics. No best in class. I asked for my $20 back and got it. lol

Only reason why I created one is because I got a great deal on canva to create and print a 18x24 for $7 w/ free shipping. Looks fantastic.

Yes of course . I always carry wipes, brush and tire shine/gel to keep it clean.

The bullitt looks so clean. Always love a car that's well maintained and detailed.

I know this is rather old but would you please tell me who is your source for Continental as the OEM supplier to BMW for the front brake calipers? Thank you!
