Tonight I installed the Ford Shelby car cover on my GT350R

Wasn’t too impressed by the quality, anyone else feel the same ?

And if so......... any recommendations .....

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Credit for covering the whole car right down to the ground, and a tight fit, but it’s stiff and crinkly around the stripes.

Keeps the dust off in the garage. Anything more, I’d be looking for something else.

Works good for winter storage in the heated garage, kept the dust off when the garage turns into the wood shop!!

I just unboxed mine last week since I bought the car in March, 2016. It sounded like paper while I was spreading it out and was worried it would tear it sounded so fragile.

It’s hell putting it on yourself on a freshly carnuba’ed paint.

The sound you hear is the black stripe and logo. It's on the other side of the cover. The actual material (touching the car) does not seem abrasive. However, like any cover, Amy dirt or debris on the car will scratch the paint no matter what the material is made of

My car did not come with a Ford oem cover. Bought a el cheapo sub $25 indoor oversized SUV cover at Amazon. I just drape it over the car for dust protection.

Check out Covercraft WeatherSheild HP. They're about $400, but worth it if you ever leave the car outdoors.

On a side note... are the covers the same for both the GT350 and GT350R? Never took note if they where the same part number.

I too thought the same about the quality and "crunchiness". I have had it on and off a handful of times with no noticeable damage. Indoor use only and use only when the car is free of dirt and dust. I use mine for winter storage only.

They have to be different. No way the R wing will fit under the cover I have.

Yes they are a different number for the GT 350 R verses the GT 350 because of the wing. I've used one on my GT 350 in the carport for two years and it doesn't scratch car even though as stated it makes you think it would.

I also used it outside at times, but I am pretty confident the car breathes better and moisture clears quicker if you don't cover it... last time I took it out after storage in winter, car was all dump and wet under the bonnet due to bloody humidity and condensation in the garage.

I never cover it anymore, garage storing, carport or what not.
