Can't get Waze to work

My 2019 Bullitt was working fine with Waze and Android Auto. Today despite trying everything I could think of I could not get Sync 3 to open Waze. When I tried to connect apps to my Galaxy S9+ I continued to receive a message "no apps found". Any help would be greatly appreciated.The following is what my Sync 3 info shows:
Sync 3 Software version 3.3
Build 19052_ PRODUCT
Ford Motor Company
Sync Mac Address OS
System update 30:45:11:1C:7D8
Bluetooth 30-45-11-1c-7d-d7

Check your cable - I had a cable go bad and do that to me!

Sometimes when playing Spotify connected by lightning cable to my iPhone the Sync screen will be black but I can still hear the music fine.

To fix this issue I have to totally power down my phone the restart it and all is good again. This happened 2 times so far.

Make sure your iOS phone is updated to the latest. And waze is updated too. That was my fix.

I phone using apple car play is all I know, if you want to switch phones.

Well if the OP is running iOS on his Galaxy 9, he's got bigger issues.

That being said, I find that cable connection issues have been the biggest hiccup on my iPhone SE.

This is true for Android phones as well. Once the software is all up to date, making sure you have a good cable is usually all that's needed.

Well I didn't even realize my car had Android Auto or support for Waze until after 2 months of ownership. So mine wasn't working for a while either LOL. I agree with others the cable on some of these phones can be very finicky including even just for wall charging at home.

More than likely it’s your cable but I find Waze gives more useful information when being used with the ford sync system rather than through CarPlay.

I always have this issue but with Apple carplay the phone charges but the apple carplay doesn't work. I still haven't found a fix since I've tried updating my phone, tried 3 different original cables and restarted. 50% of the time it doesn't work and the other half of the time it does.

With the apple phone sometimes I have to unplug and plug the new phone about 2-4 times before the car sees it !?
Other times no problems for weeks ....

Have you tried both the USB ports because sometimes my phone won’t work with the one at the front yet other times it will

I didn’t know my GT Premium could use Waze without going thru Apple Car Play. Could you please describe how you do that? Thanks much!

I use Sygic with Sync 3 and couldn't be happier. For a one time price of $68 dollars it's a Ford product and much better than Ford factory nav for the price.
