I was about to post this on the suspension section, but I wanted to hear from people who autox/track that have used camber plates for performance purposes, not just as an "alignment tool".

Which brand is everyone running? Also thoughts on camber plates on stock suspension?

Vorshlag and maximum motorsports are the two best. In that order.

I use maximum motorsports plates. They allow you to get about -2.5 degrees of camber. I have slotted lower mount, upper bolt holes that allow me to get close to -4.

what are you basing this on?

you have slotted struts and plates? -4? isn't that a bit excessive? Lol

Look at them and see the difference, do more research on the other track forums. Vorshlag makes the best plates hands down. You can also get over -2.5 degrees without plates using bolts or chicagoing the strut to spindle bolts.

No, I have aFe/pfadt coilovers that are designed that way and include centered and offset slugs to ensure the blots don't shift. Slotting the upper bolt hole in the lower front strut mount is a procedure in the FSM for your stock struts (since you mentioned stock). Check out the SCCA F street guys as they all do it. As for the camber range: No, I am not running -4. Simply stating the range since that is main thing most ppl are interested in since that is the primary purpose of the plate :). I do run -3.5 on the road course though and have found it to work rather well. If you search my threads, I have a track alignment thread that goes into alignment details and a build thread that show my slotted. coilover mount holes and cc plates.

Not to speak for him but this is the track/autocross section and we tend to run extreme alignment specs among other setup configurations to maximise handling and run the best lap times. I have different shocks and springs than Brent but do run the MM camber plates and between them and slotted struts am at -3.1.

What tire sizes do you all run?
I'm running forgelines ga1R open lug 11x19 on 305/30ZR19 pilot sport cup 2 on all 4 corners on my GT350 track pack.
Street Aliment I run -2.0 front and -1.7 on rear with a 0 toe. I haven't tracked it yet. I'm running GT350R springs front and rear with a R rear swaybar, BMR sway bar end links at stock lengths.

Yeah we do it because that's all we can do for front end alignment aside from loosening all the bolts and pulling on the suspension components. GT/PP guys end up around -2.3Âş and it really is not enough for stock springs... Makes me wish they had passed the camber plate rule for FS when they kicked Hoosier Racing Slicks out... Between that and allowing both swaybars instead of one or the other...

I digress... As far as C/C plates go... BMR has a set that I'd love to try out some day. Otherwise when Ground Control comes out with theirs those will be another great option. Ran the GC plates on my 2009 and never had any issues with them and they were really well made! While I have a problem with Vorshlag's owner, they do make good camber plates and if it were not for said problem with the owner, I'd recommend them again.

MM - I have their entire catalogue on the '86. Transformed the car. For comparative purposes, the '86 would run circles around my '01 Cobra even with the Cobra's HP and IRS advantage.
