I must say, that is a beautiful interior. I even find it better than the current Mustang's.

But

a) The car looks the same from the exterior.
b) It uses a sedan platform with band-aids, which is why I'm now calling it the band-aid-aro.
c) It better have a nice interior for the owners to cry inside when the 5.2 liter 550+ hp GT350 blows by like it's nothing.

I dislike the new interior. The passengers side dash layout is horrible. I also dislike the lighted door handles & RETRO/FUTURISTIC air vent areas behind the shifter. Steering wheel, watered down Corvette. Nothing new with this design that says, leave Ford for GM. GM is still....................."GOVERNMENT MOTORS".:faint:

I m not going to lie. This interior will even leave the bmw m3/m4 owners jealous. GM really killed it this time. Bulls Eye!
Not jealous but there is a great deal of value in the new Mustang and Camaro. I plan on buying something next year that I'll keep for a long time and I'll be looking at both among other options.

Good way to view it. You won't go wrong with either. I'm waiting till '17 to see what Mustang has in store. '16 just didn't bring anything to the table compared to the Camaro so I'm waiting to see the counter punch from Ford.

Side-by-side, you decide.
Either way you've got a nice ride.

Lol you could have found a pp interior which with the gauges in the center dash looks a lot better than having 3 air vents. The gauges with the lighting at night, adds some nice touch too.

The Camaro interior, to me, looks cheap and gaudy. I don't like the "tron lines" on the door, the vents by the shifter seem like a terrible idea, and a single row of buttons for all center-stack controls is going to make working the controls while driving rather difficult.

The Camaro exterior looks too similar to the old car, and I don't care for it either, but the interior is worse.

The 2015 Mustang interior seems so much more refined, subtle and elegant. What's crazy is that I'm saying that about a Mustang! The 05-09 S197 interior looked cheap and gaudy, to me. The 10-14 S197 was an improvement, but still not "great." The 2015s S550 interior really nailed it for me. I've never owned a car with an interior I liked more than this one.

As someone who works on/services his own vehicles, I hope an e-brake NEVER comes to the Mustang. I'd rather have a less-optimized center console than have to deal with changing out the brake pads on an e-brake car. I also wonder how an e-brake system would impact the line-lock/burnout feature of the new car? Again, something I would not want to give up for an e-brake system. Obviously, not something the Camaro has to be concerned with.
I'd agree. Sometimes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Besides, emergency brake spins are fun.

The Mustang Interior looks to be more sophisticated that will appeal to a much broader audience as the GM interior looks like it was made for a specific age group say 18-28.

Many of us find the PP dash pattern tacky with the fake IP of the aircraft turned aluminum. The 3 vent dash is the nicest looking or the 50 Anniversary brushed. Some have actually swapped out the PP one for the 50th one (since its the only one that has gauge cutouts).

Some folks are on about the digital gauges and such. My $.02 is that it would be nice if Ford added a larger display in the center but *kept* the analog gauges. Shrinking the analog gauges just a hair would open up more space for a larger digital display.

The F150 cluster is a good model for how Ford could do that. But, do NOT remove the primary analog gauges, for crissakes. And honestly, this isn't a big deal to me anyway. The digital baubles are a nice-to-have, not a requirement. I loathe busy gauge clusters and busy interiors in general. Subtle. Classy. Refined. That's the way to go with it.
