To the OP: I just did all this, searching and researching every day looking for the right used M1 for myself and my GF.

A lot of the ads have CarFax info attached. Look those over. While they dont always have the complete history, its better than the ad by itself. Was the car maintained? The reports will show a lot of great info... tire changes, oil changes, how long each owner kept the car. I've found cars with engine changes and accidents that were not reported in the ad. How many owners? 3 owners in 3 years with 4000 miles might not be a bad thing... some of these folks who really have a lot of money tend to flip through cars like underwear.

Carfax again: as to your original question: how to tell what packages and options the car has... if it is showing Carfax info, usually there is a link to the original window sticker. I really, really liked seeing this. It even corrected some of the ads... A10 vs M6 for instance.

Be flexible: I had my sights set on one car, and it is a unicorn. I searched nationwide for +2 months with no success. When I dropped the Handling Package off my list of demands, I found the car I wanted pretty quickly. If you want a JFG A10 with HP, no problem. But if your desire is a bit more unusual, being flexible helped me find a great car.

imagine people drive these pretty hard before trading them in
More like they don't drive them at all. Just do a search for 5000 miles or less and you'll see a bunch

Thanks again for the responses. The one I'm leaning toward is 2023 with 3k miles. Turns out it does not have the handling package but the previous owner must have added the front splitter and rear spoiler. I'm assuming he added it at the dealer.

Can anyone tell me how the magna ride suspension works? I was under the impression it was adjustable. Is that not the case? Thanks!

Also the white center screen is throwing me a little. My 2015 has a dark background and is much more pleasing the eye. Can the screens be changed (as in a different setting) in the 2023s?

Google and the search, young grasshopper.

Yes there are drive modes which tweak compression and rebound rates. Ford's programming is "ok" and totally liveable on street and strip. If you want to do road courses, you may want better.

The HP parts are nothing special. You can pay thru the nose for FP or a fraction for Chinese knockoff. Only to know is ask seller for receipts.

Here attached is a comparison between the GT, Mach1 & HP. I know of one person who adjusts the camber between street and track just by unbolting and popping it over but as per Ford Performance, they recommend you should do alignment if changing. I keep mine at track spec because that is my focus.
