I can’t thank you enough for your prompt and thorough responses. Like I said before my Steeda Progressives lowered more than expected, but my ride height is much different, I’m at 13.75” hub center to fender (349 mm). Steeda has previously given me the expected measurements for their progressive spring set and it was 14” front and 14.5” rear as measured on one of their cars. I’m not sure why there would be so much difference in our measurements, I think that 14 3/4 height you got is close to OE.

For now I’m going to match the lateral link angle and hope for the best, I’ll have the tech check it again during the alignment. Thanks again!
No problem! That's what the forums are for! Helping real people out with real problems. I'd much rather post in here to help someone out than see another "what octane should I use thread" lol.

I'll have to go measure again tomorrow but the car is definitely an inch lower than before the suspension.

This is how it sits. There's about a 1 finger gap between fender and the top of tire.

What shocks are you using?

Okay, got everything installed. Just took an angle gauge and zeroed it on the lateral link, then adjusted shims until it zeroed on the tie rod, rinse & repeat. I realize there’s a number of reasons this might not be the best methodology, but hey this is shadetree shit we’re doing here.

Here’s a shot of the shim stack up.

I had to spend some time getting the toe back to zero, the Steeda directions have you move the tie rod jam nut more than necessary and it was toed out pretty bad. Cobbled together some stuff to get some reasonably accurate measurements so it’s at least halfass close for the drive to the alignment shop.

Your car definitely looks lowered, so it’s probably just a difference how the measurement is taken, but as I’ve found out there are some unexplained differences between cars.

Just now swapping over to Steeda Pro-Action (non adj) as part of this process.

I started with the Progressive springs which were not too bad on the GTPP dampers, but with the springs it sat 7mm lower in front and 10 mm higher in the rear than expected. I hated the rake and worked with Steeda to come up with ideas, then I got busy again with work so I just picked up the adjustable rear spring set (also progressive) on sale and threw those in along with some other goodies. Those brought the ass down nicely, but at that point I had the curb spring rate of a GT350R so it really needed shocks too.

Hopefully the ride height won’t need to be adjusted again, I’m liking the stance as it is right now, or was before I changed a bunch of stuff again.

Great photos! Could you please share them on our Progressive spring thread.

Thank you!!
