So after driving my new car for the past 2 1/2 weeks I have one complaint. The stock shift knob, although very nice, is just too small. Now I do not have large hands. But I did drive big rigs for many years and I guess I am used to the larger knobs in them. So replacing mine with a larger one is paramount. I kinda like the old school look of the Bullitt OEM knob. I have not had the privilege to sit in a Bullitt so I am not sure the knob is larger than the stock one. But it looks larger in pictures. Does anyone "in the know" know if the Bullitt knob is indeed larger? Thanks

From Ford Performance. I'm not sure what the weight of a stock knob is but this one is not that heavy.

Is it plastic or metal?
Is that nicer than leather?

I agree that the factory knob is a bit small. I changed to a round knob. I think most of the round ones tend to run larger than the stock metal/leather knob. Almost all round knobs are some kind of engineered plastic and consequently, lighter than the stocker.

I hated the ridges on the stock one between the leather and plastic.

I love the feel of the “porcelain” Bullitt knob. Its not plastic feeling and with the additional weight, it feels just right in my hand

It actually doesn't look larger at all. Maybe ever so slightly. Can you actually feel the difference? Thanks

Don

I’d say its a tad more round, not necessarily larger. I love the way it feels compared to the stock one. I suggest you find a dealer with a Bullitt in the showroom you can feel for yourself

I had the same dilemma as I did not like the feel of the original knob, I pondered on the Bullitt one but with postage it was just too expensive so I opted for the white ( it had to be white ) Roush knob which I got the last one the Australian distributor had. My wife hates it but I think it's miles ahead of the original and feels nice to hand

Funny, my wife is not fond of it either.
