Ok with the 2017 Mustang color chart released and Guard gone it is time to start a gossip/wish list for the 2018 50th anniversary Bullitt Mustang. Makes sense for Ford to pull the green shade (Guard) for a year before the Bullitt returns.

Predictions:

#1: Ford will continued to stick with Dark Highland Green as they did in 01/08/09 instead of using the original Highland Green.

#2: V8 based with a stiffer suspension

#3: unique exhaust sound with possible GT350 activated tips.

#4: auto and manual tranny

If Ford makes the GT350 suspension setup an option (or part of a different special edition - like the bullitt), they will have a killer car (even more killer than the regular Mustang already is). The GT350 handles very well and is still quite comfortable in normal mode. I think Ford should really consider making that suspension setup more available, especially given how well the new Camaro handles.

I've been hoping for news of a Mach 1 for '17MY........but I'd be just as happy with a Bullitt for '18MY.

Either way, here's what I'd like:

5.2 CPC (475hp)
10-speed auto or 6 speed manual (Yes, Mr McQueen would approve of the auto ;)
MagneRide suspension
DHG paint
20" alloys
Active exhaust
Lalo Schifrin Bullitt score default setting on the stereo when the car recognises a Dodge Charger in the rear view mirror

If the GT350 stays a 2 yr program (ok 3 with the few 15s) thus ending after MY17 I can easily see some GT350 parts moving over....suspension, exhaust etc to an 18 Bullitt or Mach 1.

I'm hoping for a 2018 Mach1:

1. MagneRide Suspension (GM version currently offered in 2016+ Camaro SS)
2. Active Exhaust (currently offered in 2016+ Camaro SS)

I hope the GT gets more aggressive Performance Pack tuning (more aggressive dampeners, sway bars, springs).

I was planning on keeping my GT a long time when I bought it, but if Ford comes back out with a Bullitt pkg again, I'll be on the order list for it. I ordered and bought a 2001 Bullitt and like an idiot sold it. I ordered a 2008 Bullitt and Ford said we had to be an SVT dealer and wouldn't let me order it ( I worked for my families Ford dealership at the time ), it pissed me off and didn't pursue it. If they do a 50th anniversary Bullitt I'm all over it.

I don't think I can afford to buy a 2016 GT Premium and a 2018 Bullitt...Gosh...I don't know what to do.

I absolutely love my 15 CO GTPP. I do miss my 08 Bullitt. If they come out with another on I am going to have to get rid of my 15:tsk:

Rather see a Mach than the bullit. It's been over 10 years since they had an svt pony.

I just hope it's not game-changing upgrades, I'm nearing a year into my car and would not like to do a trade-up that soon lol

I hope they at least offer highland green. If they decide to do a Bullitt, I hope they dont ruin it and have "Bullitt" in 500 different places.
