Does anyone know if built in navigation is included in the 2022/2021 GT Fastback 301a package? TIA!

You'd have to get the 'Ford Safe and Smart' package for $725 to get nav on the 301a. But that also comes with adaptive cruise which is surprisingly good in the Mustang.

No it does not.

IMO it's not worth the money, just use WAZE.

301A is just the bigger screen, NAV is separate. But honestly, the Ford NAV is useless. Apple Carplay or Android Auto with Google maps is much better. A quality $20 cable is cheaper than a $700 NAV option.

Seconding, factory nav stinks, just plug your phone in and use your navigation app of choice.

Not that OP asked  but the factory Nav is just fine. It is well integrated into Sync 3 and I find pretty accurate the majority of the time. I use my phone for my dashcam and appreciate the larger screen for the Nav maps. I also like and use the ACC that is part of the package. As far as cost, well many of us are spending $40k, $50k, or more for cars that are not used as daily transportation so complaining about a paltry $800 is just ridiculous.

You don’t like it fine, don’t buy it. But let others do what they want and enjoy it.

By the way, I also use Google Maps and Waze. There is a time and place for everything.

drives in areas without cell coverage ie western states less populated areas mean waze and maps are far less useful. I use waze as well but also appreciate the built in nav. Sync 3 with safe and smart is well worth it unless you are buying for track and strip only.

Would the adaptive cruise control apply to the 6 speed manual or only 10 speed auto?

You can download maps for offline use in Google Maps. I use it all the time when traveling in remote areas.
