300A vs, 301A A10

I'm looking at a 2018 300a with A10 and PP. I know the 301a has drive modes and the 300a doesn't. Does the Drive mode affect the way the A10 shifts? Will this difference affect the performance of the car at the dragstrip?

I think it changes throttle response, firms up shifts, and may also change shift points? I know you can mimic some of the drive modes with the base models by putting the shifter in S and turning off traction control, but I believe the premium modes adjust a few different calibrations which you wouldn't be able to fully mimic on the base, for example both sport and track modes have different throttle responses, as do snow/rain and normal. It's confusing the Ford doesn't explain it well, but this is what I've gathered from information I've read.

you get dragstrip mode in the 301A, i don't think that comes with the base 300a package but i could be wrong. I have a 301A PP with A10 and the 301A is a nice package.. dual climate control, sync 3 dual power seats better stereo, drive modes

Oh yeah, I forgot the new A10's come with a drag mode too. Sync 3 is also really nice, even if you go base, I would add it later.

The drive modes make the A10 faster at the drag strip, and the cats is a lot nicer with the 301a package. If you can find one, it's worth the money.

It never ceases to amaze me how dealers order their lot cars. More times than not a person that special orders a GT w/performance package will order the 301A package for the drive modes. But not a dealer, noooooooo. That would make to much sense. SMH

I searched for a 301A car JUST for drag mode.

In Drag Mode the car will burn the tires on the 1-2 shift and bark them on the remainder of shifts up to about 7th gear. It's insane.

301A also includes Sync3 with 9 speakers, the larger NAV screen, lighted door sills, door handles, and cup holder area all with adjustable colors.

For $2k, 301A really is a no-brainer for the guy who wants the premium features without leather seats.
