Build Week 3/30

I just got a call back from my dealer. They got 2 mustangs in today and neither are mine. He says that hes pretty certain its because of the Premium Trim Package for the seats is why my mustang is taking longer to deliver.

Currently a TBD on my ETA and "awaiting shipment". I am starting to get a little pissed off to say the least.

I just feel like that's bs because the only option I got was the PP, mine's a base gt.

And mine is something entirely different, we are the unlucky three it would appear. I'm just hoping their tracking system has issues and they are actually in transit.

Count me in. COTUS still shows awaiting shipment with no EDD. Dealer told me their system showed an ETA of 4/25, but it hasn't shown up and they have no further info.

Ford Service escalated my case last week, but they didn't have any information and said they wouldn't get back to me until May 1st.

Called Ford, messaged Jeff, and talked my dealer. All dead ends at the moment. Jeff was very responsive, but whatever is happening seems to be outside his realm. My buddy has his being built on 5/04 at the same dealer. If that one ships and my doesn't, I will refuse the car unless an actual explanation is available.

Got "the call" today...
Cannot take delivery until tomorrow, but they let me take it out for a shakedown run. Oh man what a ride! All the body panels are spot on and the rear window is straight and true.

drbrian - Congrats on the car. It was a long wait but it was worth it now that it's over. I can only say that how happy I am with the Guard color -it looks just awesome. Enjoy the ride!!

GigaHz - Congrats on the car! Love the color - it was between blue or green on my short list. But the blue looks great with the black wheels!! Enjoy the car!

Hey guys - just some info from my experience. My car showed delivered in COTUS on 4/22, which was 2 days earlier than the last estimate. Called the Dealer to confirm if they had received the car. No car, but the Dealer in still showed 4/24 EDD in their system. On 4/24, still no car, so the Dealer called the rail yard to find out when the truck was coming, and the logistics person at the rail yard looked in their system and it showed the car had already been delivered 2 days earlier (the same information as COTUS). After the Dealer confirmed that the car had NOT been delivered, the logistics person at the rail yard went out to check the lot and guess what? My car was there, and he put it on a truck to the Dealer within an hour!!! Apparently cars can get lost!!

Luckly my dealer was persistent and did not take no for an answer, otherwise my car would still be sitting at the rail yard!

Well the only thing I'm being told is that my car is still not in transit, it's parked collecting dust at the plant.

According to ford service I had an EDD of 5/2 for a brief stint, but then that disappeared as well.

Mine has been sitting at the BNSF RR automobile distribution lot 25 miles south of the dealership waiting for a semi to truck it up the freeway for nearly 2 weeks.

My dealer said It didn't come today but maybe tomorrow "WTF":doh:. Hopefully I get to post something different tomorrow. My chemical guys foam cannon did come today though. I tried it out on the wife's outback, seemed to work really well.

Here is an update guys. My original car ordered 3/9 with 3/31 build date was re-released from the plant on 4/13 and still has been "awaiting shipment"... over a total of 4 weeks now. Last week i said enough and located a car with the same options just in black instead of magnetic that was build 4/16 and "in transit" the next day... ETA for the new car is 5/8 but i'm thinking it might come earlier since it's been "in transit" for two weeks already (heading to WA). I canceled my original order and received my $500 deposit back. I wouldn't be surprised if my new car arrives before the first one is even shipped...

Hopefully you will have better luck than I do with the transition from rail to truck. Mine has been sitting in Tukwila for a while...see my post above.
