Mine has an EDD of 3/24 but I'm still in awaiting shipment. I guess my EDD will come and go again, for the third time.
Same here - major frustration. No way that train is going to get to LA by then. :frusty:

You guys here probably have a lot of experience with this. Ford Service tells me my car was "released" but I'm still in awaiting shipment. Could the car be released but not be "In transit". From what I'm seeing on this thread a lot of your cars were sitting in "awaiting shipment" for a month without being released correct?

Under normal circumstances the car is completed, then "Released From Plant" which means waiting to be picked up by whoever transports it. So basically RFP is the same as Awaiting Shipment. It can sometimes take a few days for it to go from Awaiting Shipment to In Transit. That's normal. Our situations were out of the ordinary. Most of us didn't actually sit in Awaiting Shipment that long. During the month long wait our cars hadn't actually been released yet.

My car was released from the factory and awaiting shipment per Rachel since 3/1. My car still has yet to move, I called ford service today and they said it is still on the lot.

Yeah if my EDD moves one more time I'm canceling this order, it is a little ridiculous knowing that the books open for the 2016 a month after my EDD. I'm not tolerating the car sitting in a lot after my 6-8 week timeframe has come and gone.

.... Still awaiting shipment and STILL NO EDD. I haven't seen an EDD since Feb. 24. Dealer isn't exactly sure what the hold is for. They did tell me that my car will be here by the end of this month. I just called and asked how long it would take by train and he said 2 weeks. I told him there were 15 days left and if it wasn't here, I would call off the deal. Just read they will be taking orders for 2016 in May. That's just a little over a month from when my car is suppose to arrive. Might as well wait to get the SYNC 3. The fun and anticipation has really faded for me now.

Hi guys my Ruby Red GT Prem PP build week 2/2 arrived at dealer today,
Upon inspection found damage to left rear wheel, several panel alignment issues
Mainly trunk/tail light and rear bumper cover to left rear quarter panel alignment
Way off. But the big one for me is lower grill is not the same as top grill- honeycomb/shark tooth. Lower grill is the one used on V6,50 year appearance package, and adaptive cruise control lower grill. I believe ford has decided to standardize the lower grill on all models for cost savings. There where 3 mustangs on the transport 1 was Ecoboost with wavy top grill and standard non wavy on lower.
I my option the the non matching grill on GT just kills the looks and my be a deal breaker for me if they will not change lower grill. Also panel problems must be fixed and not just saying their within build tolerance. So after all this waiting a BIG Disappointment!

No. Dealer said it wasn't within their control. I agreed to a non-refundable deposit but my expectations were set at 6-8 weeks. I expected some flexibility. It's been 15 weeks and the car is still sitting at the factory. I expected some flexibility but got none.

My future sales/service business will go elsewhere.

For those of you who cancelled your order did you get your deposit refunded?

Also car had 16.1 miles, white salt all over interior from boots, these cars where held for QC,which must have been for reasons other than panel alignment!

That sux. You guys really have me worried now.

Being in Minnesota, does your car have an engine block heater? What does the window sticker say?

If you have the block heater (and based on your location I'm betting you do) then you get that lower grill.

There are some threads here about it.

well we went today to pick up my wife's ruby red GT PP and left it there.
I'm here to help guys. I know what a wait it's been, and I want you to drive away happy. Please send a PM with your VIN, name, phone number, and dealer info. I'll look into options on my end.

I have decided not to cancel my order...I am going to wait until the convertible arrives. Then, if I find anything that is major...such as panel mis-alignment, etc. I will cancel the order and wait a couple of more months and order a 2016.

Yes the car comes wth a block heater, but is a dealer installed item,I told them not to install just leave in trunk. That makes sense about lower grill, hopefully can get swapped out
By dealer but there's a few hours of labor involved with swapping out grill.
