Is there a specific kind of bug and tar remover preferred for cleaning a car that has been PPFd or will any brand work? TIA

I use Griot’s Tar and Sap remover. I’m not PPF’d but it says safe for all exterior automotive surfaces. Do you have a coating or protectant over the PPF? If you do, that will provide a barrier between the remover and the PPF. You could also call the shop that did your PPF install, they should know what is PPF safe

100%. Hydrogen peroxide only attack organic materials
Remember what it does when you use it to clean a scratch or cut on humans?
Yeah it burns like hell!

Some say you can, some say you can't use tar removers on PPF. From what I read, spot treating can be done, but use the product sparingly and be sure to rinse the area thoroughly afterwards.

If it were me, I would be contacting your PPF installer and asking about what's safe to use on your specific PPF film.

While it won't deal with tar, ONR was be very effective as a bug remover. It's also ultra safe to use on any vehicle surface. Spray on, leave to soak for a few minutes then hose off. You may need to agitate with a towel or bug sponge.
