A low temp heat gun for a few minutes followed by a fishing line "garrote" with some handles. Pull down from the top a bit then add some 3M AR in the channel created. A few more minutes of heat. Another pull or two, more AR. More heat. Before you know it, you'll have it off but personally I would only use the 3M product and heat, not brake cleaner, (even though I use BC for damn near everything ELSE!) <laughing> That said, the few times I've needed it, it has never affected any auto paint that I've tried it on.

I just replaced my 5.0 badges. Car is 4 years old and ceramic coating was done less then a year ago. Heat gun and fishing line did it's part in getting the emblem off, however I had a lot of adhesive residue left over. Goo Gone did the trick. Taped around the area with blue painters tape and let it soak into the adhesive for 5 minutes. Came off like butter. Cleaned with hot soap and water and installed new badges no problem.
