So I am on number two (MT82). You really have three options. Prices are what I was looking at:

Replace with a stock one - $1000 + $500 labor
Rebuild it stronger - Ben Calmer - $1800 - $2800 depending on upgrades.
Tremec replacement - $6k-7K

I replaced with stock one and am sending the broken one to Ben over the Winter to rebuild.

Were you keeping an eye on temps? Did you happen to datalog that run? How much did you go to the track before you got your new clutch setup?
Kept an eye on cylinder and I take Temps, didn't think of tranny. I didn't data log. I was dyno tuned with HP tuners and don't have anything to data log with. This happened all too soon as I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a Lund nGauge. Yes I've had multiple runs before the after market clutch.

Unfortunately you removed the vehicle from it's "as warrantied" condition when you messed with the drivetrain (including the exhaust).

I'd advise you to do as others have said...send it off to get rebuilt and beefed up and don't even bother ford
We'll I guess it depends on the dealer. I had a buddy of mine who lost 5th gear on his performance pack. He had headers, exhau, t tune, and intake. Trans was replaced under warranty.

it really does depend on the nature of the failure.

I'd say that since you've had work done to your transmission, this is an open and shut case.

So what do you think you're going to do????

All I know is I have never been on a track but shift as hard as anyone that has when the time is right also accelerate as fast as the thing will go with quick shifting. The transmission should be able to handle that without breaking. As far as the dealers and service depts go, screw them, most of them spend every day trying to screw some customer over. Not all of them, but in the big scheme of things if they get to do it, so should this guy who has a defective transmission.

It's may have been a defective transmission from the get go, I don't miss many shifts but if I ever had a problem getting into any gear it was fourth. Maybe the shifter and clutch could exacerbate any issues that were already present. I really don't know. What's the difference between spirited driving on the streets and in a controlled environment? Not much in my opinion. All I know at this point is the car is down and just looking at my options. Maybe there are a few out there who have the same issue. My unfortunate event could help others.

Keep me informed of how this turns out! If I had the money stage 2 seems nice, but, I think I would have to go with stage 1.

I have Level 1 from Ben. With round trip shipping and replacing a synchro it was $1065 including all of his regular work that does on them.

Level 1 build is 800. That includes bronze shift pads and billet shift stop to replace the factory plastic pieces. I also weld the forks for strength and smooth the sliders and hubs for smoother shifts as well as a few other tricks I do. Level 2 includes cryo treatment and rem polishing and is an additional 900. Those prices are for a trans in excellent condition. Turn around on level 1 is 2 days. Level 2 is 3 weeks

This makes me sad.

You know I was thinking about this after posting. I don't shift hard like I said and don't race around like a madman. I thought I probably came off as a #@##!!. But I have made a fair amount of quick shifts, mostly accelerating up to 80 or so. I probably would have to say after 1 year 10kmile of my driving, I would think I'd accumulate as many quick and/or hard shifts as a guy who's been to a track a dozen times. Just sucks that it wouldn't handle it and give up the ghost (for anyone). Now my comment on the whole dealership thing that's kind of crap thing for me to say also, but I'm a big talker, not sure I'd do it myself, but would consider it somewhat on par with the things they do. I don't hold much trust for anyone in the auto service industry except my tire shop and the couple of shops I've found over the years that don't pull any tricks.

There are a lot of hard working, honest dealership employees out there too.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not putting a bunch of power through it. My buddy in a whipple/meth s550 was in the other lane, made tons of passes and no issues. It was a slow test and tune day and had about 20 passes before it went. Rebuilding it seems like a great option to hopefully prevent this from happening again. Ben Calimer came as a recommendation and seems like he does some great work. May be time to get into that piggy bank. Any recommendations to any California locals?
how many passes per day? u mention 20 thats overall right?
i used to drag LS Vettes professionally and even with stage 2+ built trannys i wouldn't do more then 5 passes in one day. stock parts i stick to 3 -5 passes. there not designed for extended pushing to the limit. I've seen stock cars (no tunes no modes) crack diffs and split trannys by running to many passes in one session.

... So I'm trying to figure my options. Do I put the stock clutch and shifter on and hope for warranty? Is there any rebuilds to beef it up? Can I get away with warranty with mgw shifter? I ask the last one because I'm sure I don't have all the parts to my oem one.
putting stock clutch and shifter back on sounds rather expensive. Technically dealership can decline warranty just for the off road headers and a tune. Drop by the dealership and explain the situation and if they hesitant or equivocate, then go back and review the stoli posting. Maybe leave out the part about the track. Explain that you were trying to pass an 18-wheeler on the highway, when 4th gear gave out.

About 20 that day. Usually 3 runs followed by a 15/20 minute cool down in a span of 5 hours. I only see heat as being the only issue. Definitely a possibly. Like I said, my buddy with a whipple s550 got way more passes in than me and used slicks. He even sat in the staging lanes with the car running because he liked the AC  .
