Not sure if anyone else finds this interesting but my second pass at the track I broke a half shaft.
Ordered a new one but will see what dss says.
They have been in the car since July 2018.

Wow! I didn’t think these half shafts could,d be broken at the power levels many of these cars are at (even the 1000-1100 hp level). Manual or auto tranny? What rpm did you launch at? How many passes on them since 2018?

You're running a whipple, right? Do you have a stall converter? I assume it broke on launch. What rpm are you leaving at?

The point, in drag racing, is to make it go as fast as possible. That means, DIRECTLY, breaking parts.

You now know that those shafts don't work. Good luck on finding a better replacement, whatever that may be.

Also this wasn’t loose bolts. This was a joint busting.
You can see the front and rear are bolted in fine. the joint housing is half destroyed. It couldn’t handle the first to second shift.
I’ll start learning leave on second !

Little bit of a ā€˜tude, from a new member, ok... just trying to offer up some info - you posted, I’m providing facts and not BS like what you’ll get elsewhere...

Some school for you:
The 03/04 Terminators were having the same issues well before the S550 came to fruition.... guess what they were breaking too... DSS.

What many Termi owners went to were G-Force shafts, that could withstand a lot of power, didn’t fail and come recommended from many high HP owners.

So, when you have time, read this:
http://www.mustangandfords.com/how-...les-fragility-to-rest-with-gforce-engineering

And this (scroll down to the half shaft section):
http://terminator-cobra.com/suspension.htm#Half-Shafts

and here’s 1 of the offerings from G-Force for the S550:
https://gforce1320.com/product/mustang-s550-2015-outlaw-axles-left-and-right/

I know I know, everyone has their favorites and because Bobby Joe pushes DSS warez on here or others ā€œlike themā€, no one does research and just follows the sheeple.

Best of luck - there’s many threads on here too about DSS issues.
