2000 HP DSS Axles

Guys - just curious if any of you have any knowledge. I pulled my DSS axles today and on one of them the spline just spins almost like when I whacked it to get it out, it popped something inside. I was going to sell them since the last time out the worked fine. It's the spline nearest the spindle. It's recessed about an inch and just free spins.

sell them… and if you're going to put forth the effort to swap out half shafts for something superior, get GForce half shafts...

I've got the G force on order along with the 9 inch conversion. I've for the Strange chunk sitting in the garage, that's why I pulled those axles. I'll read through your links and thanks as usual!

both companies do a great job, we stock and sell a ton of both.

we have customers that break both, even had a customer brake a 9" dss axle.

it happens. and it happens with both of them.

I had 3 years of passes with 0 failure up to the 1300 wheel range and probably 15 passes with 0 issue on the dss, after breaking the factory diff. had dss build us a 9"

Wasn't dogging either company. Not sure how I broke it by removing it from the car. They worked great on the car with over 1000hp.
