It will help massively.

Considering you have used Gtechniq, I would use their C2v3 for the protective layer. Do that to your wheels as well. It's been noted that brake dust on freshly applied coatings can cause dotting, mainly during the first two weeks while the coating is fully hardening. The C2v3 (or similar) will protect against this, and wet weather, during that time.
Ill grab this one then! You are a detailing encyclopedia. Much respect and gratitude

I cleaned mine and did 2 layers of CarPro DLUX ceramic - they look great! I had the car in winter storage so they cured for a couple of months but in your case I'e let it cure for 2 days at least

And I did create my own covers for the rear brakes to match the front ones - those are painted with the most matching gray and then cleacoated and coated with ceramic

A couple of other products to go with your newly coated wheels -

Gyeon Wet Coat / Carpro Hydr02 / 303 Spray & Rinse - you can use one of these every few weeks to provide an easy to apply topper to that coating, which will help maintain or even extend the longevity of it.

Hyde's Serum Rustopper / Bilt Hamber Atom Mac - these are rust inhibitors that are applied to the rotors directly after washing, which help limit the formation of surface rust. The first application of the brakes with that rust will shower your lovely clean gloss black wheels with rusty orange dust. These products help limit or eliminate that without the usual back and forward procedure.

Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac 500ml | 16.9oz Concentrated Corrosion Inhibitor (clean-garage.com)

I’ll grab those too! What would you suggest for a ceramic coating for the body paint? There’s so many options that’s why I haven’t done it yet.

these wheels never get old. I love them
I like yours better because of the more aggressive dish.

I landed on the Gyeon line of coatings due to their focus on user friendliness, in particular Can Coat EVO (12 months) for ease of application, and Pure EVO (36 months) for the "candy-gloss" finish.

If I was ordering a coating right now, it would be Gyeon Mohs EVO as this introduces slickness to the equation that is missing from Pure EVO and Can Coat EVO. The great thing about Pure and Mohs is that they are single layer coatings.

You would also look at Gtechniq CSL, topped with the new version of EXO.

forget the ceramic coat. prep them and rattle can 2 coats of clear brake caliper paint, cant remember who makes it but its in most auto parts stores. After that, even when their dirty they look clean.

Thank you. Think I’ll check the gtechniq one! Just got a look at the calipers in the sunlight and they look so much better now! I might add a second coating after I finish the rear wheels. Just need to make sure I have enough liquid left. I’m about half way through
